Today was the first day of our kids hockey seasons. It was also Violet’s first game ever. Both did great and are very excited that the season has started. We spent around 4 hours in the rink today, and I’m thinking that will be a pretty normal Saturday. I was pretty light with the camera today, only 200 pictures between the SLR and my Cell phone. I took a bunch and put together today’s picture of the day collage. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be doing something more with today’s pictures. Of course in the coming months I’ll have lots of Saturday hockey pictures.
Tonight Melissa was hard at work putting together snack for Violet’s preschool field trip tomorrow. There are 24 bags with Multi Colour Goldfish crackers, Multi-Grain Alphabet pretzels, Chex Rice cereal, marshmallows, Yogurt covered raisins and dried cranberries. I hope the kids like them.

Instead I’ll be doing a Picture of the Day, for the readers it’ll be about the same, though there are some differences. I’m working on a post for the new year, where I talk about how I did on last years challenges and what new challenges I’ve set for myself for the coming year. It also explains how my Picture of the Day will work.
In our first Picture of the Day we see the dangers of little ones and markers. I’m not sure what inspired Jacob to draw on his face, he says he wanted whiskers, but I’m not sure what to think. All I know is while I was cooking dinner he walked in and I was shocked to see three lines on each cheek. After getting him to had over the marker, I snapped a few pictures and cleaned him up.
