Today we took our kids and a couple of their friends to the Science Centre for the day. Melissa captured this on the drive there. I should be sharing some of the pictures of the day, but I didn’t get them edited tonight. Perhaps later in the week.

Today both Violet and Jacob wrapped up their hockey seasons with a win, meaning that their teams won their respective divisions. I took some time to put the picture I took throughout the day to put together today’s POD. One thing I thought was great was what Jacob’s coach said to his team before they hit the ice. He told the kids three things to remember, now I don’t remember exactly how he said it but here is what I remember:
1) Always give your best effort, you can’t always play the best but you can always try your hardest.
2) Support your teammates.
3) Have fun out there.
Seem like good rules to live your life by not just for playing hockey.

Last night in the wee hours of the morning, I took Ruby out for a walk and then let her hangout for a while. I ran up stairs to check on the family and when I came back down I found Ruby asleep on the couch, somewhere she isn’t supposed to be. So today I’m starting a new game, is she Naughty or Cute?

Today on my way home I saw a pigeon sitting on the bus. As it sat there I wonder how long it would ride up there. It flew off almost as soon as the bus headed out of the station. Still I managed to capture it before it headed out.

Today we have a collage of pictures of young Ruby. It seems that Ruby thought the kitties on the Kitty litter were real and so she carefully stalked them before pouncing and learning her error.

Today Violet made a little book with the help of her Nan. Violet drew all a the pictures and told Nan what to write on each page. She was very proud of it and even announce that sometimes at bedtime I could read her book to her.

Usually when teachers send home notes, it’s about how the kids are doing. Today we got one on how Melissa and I are doing with the kids lunches. As you have seen in pictures of the day in the past, we try to give our kids well-balanced and varied lunches. It’s nice to know that someone notices.

Today we picked up a special; treat for Ruby. She loved it and spend hours happily chewing on it.

Today the finals began at hockey. Today’s picture of the day was taken before 7am. Jacob team had a great game, winning 10-1. Violets game was a tighter affair, 3-2 decided in overtime. Both were intense to watch, and next week we do it again.

Violet love Ruby, but she hasn’t learned when to just let her sleep. Tonight she lay down next to her and didn’t stop till Ruby was on top of her. Of course it’s a cute picture.
