Geek With Kids

Tonight after the house had gone to bed I was sitting with Ruby and relaxing, and I realized that I haven’t had a beer in all of my father’s day beer glasses. As luck would have it I had a beer sitting in the fridge waiting for me to enjoy.

Tonight I had an appointment at the Microsoft Answer Bar for some warranty service. The service was excellent as always, and Jacob seemed happy to spend the appointment entertaining himself on the different computers and XBox around the store. He can’t wait till he goes for Microsoft Camp in a couple of weeks.

This evening after Soccer practice we found some time to spend with the “Contemplating Child”. Violet really loved climbing all over the statue. Her Nana wasn’t as big of a fan of her climbing.

Today we have a picture of Ruby I took at the park with Ruby. We’re playing tug-a-war with her plastic through toy. Usually I don’t play like that with her toys but this ones on its last legs.

So far this summer day camp has been a disappointment for our eldest. Though today when he came home he was excited about the Master Chief challenged they had today. As part of it he made a ‘pizza pocket’. It looks taste, but the chocolate, cheese and strawberry seems a little odd.

Well After using that great picture of Violet on a breakaway yesterday I thought today I should use this one of Jacob at Soccer tonight. His team was short of players today, so they had no subs. Even with a tied squad they won the match 7-4.

Today we have another picture from Violet’s 3 on 3 hockey. This time we have her taking the puck down the ice before she scored her first goal of the 3 on 3 season. She was so excited that he’d finally managed to get a puck through to the back of the net.

Today at Taekwondo Jacob eared his third stripe. So now he’s ready to take the test to get his While and Yellow belt. We’re all so proud of him, but especially violet. She was so proud she insisted on being in the picture.

I don’t usually like to use pictures that Melissa has already shared. But this one from this morning of Violet sleeping is just to cute not to use.

Today the kids headed on there first Adventure with Nan of the Summer. The three of them headed down to the islands to explore and play.
