This morning while Melissa and I was make plans for the day we decided that we wanted to go shopping and to make it easier we thought why not get a car. So today I tried out our new Autoshare membership. We picked up a Honda Fit Wagon, we’re looking forward to trying the many cars that Autoshare has available.
Today was our last day of vacation, and with it we stopped in some malls in Buffalo. While there Violet took a ride with the Cat-In-The-Hat.
After a four days of fun camping, we packed up our camp and headed to a hotel for the last night. Both kids were very excited about spending their first night in a hotel. Whats been amazing is that each day we’ve been in the pool at least once, and today was no exception. The only question I have is will we make it in a pool tomorrow?
Today Melissa and I took the kids on a nature walk/geo cache adventure. While we walked we got a lot of great pictures. One of my favourites, is this of the three of them looking out from behind a tree. It was really fun watching as Violet and Jacob watch with wonder as we walked along the nature trail. Of course it was the promise of juice box and fruit snacks that kept them going.
Day two of our vacation, and a good chunk of it was spent in the pool. It seemed every time I turned around Jacob was back in the pool, or asking to go back into it.

Today we began our vacation, first with a nice breakfast out. Then Papa hooked the trailer and away we went. It took half the day to reach our campsite, but the kids were great during the long drive. As I sit here next to the fire writing up todays POD, I’m so glad to have these few days away with the family.
As you can see from today’s picture of the day, we’re all packed up and ready to head out on our vacation. Tomorrow morning we’ll climb into Nana and Papa’s van and head down to Pennsylvania for some camping, and a little bit of shopping. Both of the kids are very excited about our camping trip, and I must admit that I am quite excited to be getting away from the city, even if it is for only 5 days.
Recently when ever we’re outside Jacob wants to show us his ‘Amazing Trick’. Some times they are pretty ordinary, other times they surprise me. Today’s surprised me. He walked along the cement, without touching the wood chips in the garden, and then jump over the garden to the side-walk, twice. That is an amazing trick!
Today’s picture is an attempt to show off the nice braid my mom put in Violets hair today. It was fun to watch my mom try to get her to stand still long enough to finish them. In the end it was that she was doing her hair liked Tangled that had Violet standing, mostly still. Of course when it came time for me to try to get a photo I was on my own.
