Geek With Kids

Today the family went to the Ex, a great time was had by all and I would really like to take the time to write a full post about it, but today isn’t the day. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll find the time to go through the pictures and write-up about the great day we had. For now here is a picture of Violet from our last ride of the day.

Today while waiting for Nana and Papa to take the kids out to a birthday party Jacob once again showed off his amazing trick (POD: Amazing Trick). I just happened to have my phone out and captured todays picture of the day. He really enjoys showing off his trick, so much so he asked that I take video of it.

Today we headed out as a family, but going to different places.  The kids were heading out on an adventure with their Nan, while Melissa and I headed to an appointment. So I snapped today’s picture while we waited.

Tonight we had a visit from a little guy and Violet just had to hold him. It’s so cute that Violets love of babies isn’t limited to her dolls. When ever we see babies she always wants to talk to them and hold them.  So tonight she sat on the couch with Mommy and held baby Caleb. It was such a cute sight I had to get a picture.

Today before bed, Jacob and Nan sat down at the table and played some Whoville-opoly. Jacob always seems to want to play board games these days. I think I might have to start scheduling a board game night.

Todays picture of the day is of Jacob at the pool, sorta. I’m not sure what Jacob is doing climbing out of the pool in the shot, but it seemed like a fun image to use for today’s picture of the day. He’s seems to really enjoy having lessons every day and its improving his swimming.

Today we headed out to pick up Violets outfits and shoes for her dance class. She was so very excited, it was next to impossible to get her to stand still for the picture.

Today Melissa and I was doing some chores around the house, while Violet played quietly in the living. When I came in to see what she was doing I snapped today’s picture of the day. She was really into her puzzles, she put them together 2 or 3 different times today.

Today we had a planned to have a family day at Wasaga Beach. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas. Shortly after setting up a thunder-storm rolled in and we were forced to head for cover at Daddy’s mom place. Thankfully the weather cleared later in the day and we were able to head back to the beach for some swimming and fun in the sand.

Tonight Jacob had a little accident with his bike. I’m not sure how it happened, all I know is for the first time my little man has a bruise on his face. I’m hoping  it doesn’t grow into a full blow black eye by morning.
