Geek With Kids

Today Violet and I ran the Novo Nordisk® “Hazel” 5KM Run/Walk. I’m working on a post with picture I captured pre and post race. Stay tuned.

Today I turned forty, to celebrate our little family had a nice dinner out. While we were waiting for our food, Melissa captured this picture of me and the kids.  it’s the little moments with our growing children that I cherish, they are growing up so fast.

Tonight was Violet’s last day of dance photos, so it seems fitting to use a picture of her in all her costumes for today’s picture of the day. As another dance season enters the final weeks, I am impressed with how hard my little dancing diva works. Even when she’s forced to miss a class she practices at home or asks her friends from class to show her what she missed.

Wednesday nights means Lacrosse practice for Violet. It’s nice to spend an hour outside a few times a week watching Violet play or practice. Tonight while watching, couldn’t help but be amused by the plans that seemed to fly overhead ever a couple of minutes.

Today I thought I’d share the amazing end of season gift Violet got from her DS team this season.

Another year of dance is winding down, so it’s picture time at the old studio. Do day was Acro photos for our little dancer.

Today I found myself making an extra stop at Tim Hortons. I just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to roll up the rim.

Today we headed to the CWHL Game to watch the Toronto Furies take on the Brampton Thunder. Violet’s favourite player, Natalie Spooner plays (Number 24) for the Furies and scored a hattrick. It wasn’t enough for the furries to defeat the Thunder, which was ok for Violet and her teammates because three of the Brampton players coach the girl’s hockey teams, and they came to play. It was a great game, ending 4-3 with Brampton scoring the winner in the final minute of the game.

Once again I was impressed by my little diva, when she brought home her latest test.
