Another day another practice. I thought of using a picture I captured of the team practicing, but then Google gave me a little supersize.

Today Violet headed off to Hockey Opportunity camp for a week of Hockey skills and outdoor fun. She was so excited, not even the 6:15 am wake-up on a couple of the days dampened her excitement.

Last summer while away at camp Violet discovered tennis, and she really enjoyed it. Ever since we’ve tried to find a way for her to continue playing it, but with our busy schedule, it’s been hard. This last parks and rec session we found a 1 on 1 tennis lesson that mostly worked with our schedule. We had a few weeks that we just couldn’t make it because of other commitments and were even late once or twice trying to switch between activities, but violet loved it and I loved watching her progress each week. Last night was her last class of the session, perhaps its time to get the family some rackets so we can play together.

Today was lacrosse day and Mimico was on fire, the team won both their games. 11-3 and 11-0. After scoring in her ball hockey game last night Violet kept the goals coming with 7 goals in the 2 games today. I don’t know where she gets the energy from.

At times it seems that all of our free time is taken up running from one kid’s activity to another. Seeing the joy in our kids as they take part in their different activities makes all the effort worth it. So today I have another Lacrosse picture.

Monday night is Lacrosse practice, and I captured these picture of Violet battling her teammate for the ball during one of the drills. I just love how hard she tries at everything.

The summer is here and that means our Sunday mornings are spent at the lacrosse field. Today we were in Brampton, and for the first time in 3 years of lacrosse, it didn’t rain. Sure it looked like it was going to for most of the morning, but it held off till after Violet’s games were done. The day started out with the team playing really well against a very tough opponent, unfortunately, it ended with 2 loses. Still watching them today you can see the promise of the team, giving me hope for the rest of the season.

Not even the sudden thunderstorm washing out her second game could put a damper on Miss V today. Her team won 5-2 and the teams Lacrosse bags came in. She was one happy girl.

Today Violet headed out on the field for her first games of lacrosse for the 2017 season. I could have gotten some pictures from the actual games, but it was rainy and grey. So this one we captured yesterday in the sunshine seemed a better way to remember the day.

Today we headed to one of Violet’s lacrosse teammates moms dental clinic (Mimico Dental Hygiene) to get a new mouth guard. It was quick and easy, and in a few days, Violet will have a sparkly purple mouth guard.
