After taking Monday night off I knew I needed to run tonight, but I was greeted by rain when I left the office this evening, and I thought my chances of a run tonight were shot. I am not a fan of running in the rain, but as the evening wore on I decided that I needed to get out there, so I wrapped my phone in plastic wrap and pre-pared to face the rain. Of course when I got out there I found the storm had passed and it was a great evening for a run. Though I do think it might be time to invest in a good running case for my phone.

Project 365-294: No playing in a park?
Today our picture is of a new sign added to our local park. It seems that we can no longer use the public park for Ball Playing. This seems wrong. I don’t understand how a sign like this can be placed in a public park. Before the sign was added police had stopped some neighbourhood kids who were playing in this area of the park. Is it just me or does the thought that they would band ball in an open field is just wrong. What’s worse is when asked about it, our local Councillor said it wasn’t his concern. I’m thinking with the election next week it’s time to find a councillor who would take these kinds of local issues his or her concern.

Project 365-292: Silly Bandz
Yesterday at school the kids in the playground were playing with something called Silly Bandz, they are little plastic wristbands that are also shapes. Jacob really wanted to get some of his own, so this morning mommy took the kids on a quest for them. Unfortunately they were sold out. So Nan took the search to more stores, but also came back empty-handed. Then it was time for Daddy to come to the rescue. On my way home I stopped off at a Mastermind that had some in stock. I got a few sets, but Jacob’s instant favourite was the alphabet.
Project 365-291: Caught Blue Handed
Today our little angel got her hands on one of Jacob’s school markers. The results weren’t pretty, though at times it was hard not to giggle, specially when the bath water turned blue while cleaning her up, I thought I was in an episode of Max and Ruby. We’re thinking we might have to pack the markers completely away, Jacob’s just to prone to leave them out after he’s done colouring with them.

Project 365-289: Growing Mound of food.
I snapped this picture of the growing mound of food at the Weight Watchers Applewood Village Plaza location, part of the Lose for Good program. It’s growing every week, they are trying to collect a pound of food for each pound lost over 7 weeks. That could be a lot of food. For anyone wondering, I have been going to weight watchers, I know I haven’t really been sharing, I’m not sure why. It just seems I haven’t been posting about it. Though that will be changing soon I’m working of some posts about my weight lose journey and hope to start them up in the next couple of weeks.

Project 365-288: It’s Getting better all the time
Today Jacob came home with a surprise in his school bag, he received a Good Character Award. It was nice to see, Jacob had some separation anxiety when he started in his SK class. This award is a sign that he’s working passed it and has started to thrive in the new class. It has been a bit of a challenge at times, watching him struggle, not knowing how to help. Melissa and I did what we could and it’s great to see that it’s working.
Project 365-287: Proof of change
Today Melissa and I popped into Old Navy looking for a new running shirt. While there we noticed the jeans were on sale, so I thought I would try on a pair. The surprising thing I found was that my waist was down to a 34, back in august I was inspired when I picked up jeans with a 36 waist. So tonight I find myself once again inspired by the waist size of a new pair. The most amazing thing is recently I was cleaning out the closet getting ride of some old clothes and found myself getting rid of a pair of pants with a 44 waist. These were pants I wore last year, and now I’m in a 34. It’s just amazing, but enough blogging for tonight I need to head out for a run…
