This evening while I grilled some burgers Jacob played in the playground with some neighborhood kids and Violet pulled out Jacob’s big wheel and tried to take it for a spin. She couldn’t reach the petals but managed take it out of our yard.

Project 365-101: Exploring
Today was a bit of a crazy day. Though there were no errands to fun I found that most of the day just slipped away. Though while Jacob napped I managed to have a few moments with Violet outside. I was trying to get her to Walk without holding on to the fence but the most she ever got was a few steps. It seems every day she goes a little further, today was the entire length of the fence and into the playground. I ended up having an hour outside with Jacob after Violet went to bed so it worked out that both kids got to play in the cool April day.
Project 365-100: Contemplating a Banana
Today we had a full day. It started with swimming, my first lesson with just me and the kids. It was a little tricky getting both kids ready for the pool and dressed afterwards but we managed it. Then it was home for lunch and then back into the car to pick up mommy from work and run some errands. It was a long day and though I think Jacob is fighting off a bug, it was nice to spend the time together as a family.
Project 365-099: Shoes
Ever since Violet was a new-born she’s had small feet. We’ve always had trouble finding shoes for her. Today Melissa picked up a pair of walking shoes for our little angel. They are a one or two sizes too big for her small feet, but they stay on and she can walk in them. I’m hoping my little girl likes her new walking shoes.

Project 365-097: What’s a Golden Pea?
Last week Melissa’s coworker bought a jar of No Nuts Golden Pea Butter for Jacob. She felt bad that our little guy couldn’t have peanuts anymore. So when she say this one the shelf of the supermarket she bought it. First I want to say how thoughtful that was, second I want to know what a golden pea is?
Of course it doesn’t really matter what a Golden Pea is, Jacob loves it. Ever since I first gave it to him he’s wanted it every morning. I never really realised how much he missed peanut butter. Now you might be wondering how it tastes I can say it’s pretty good. It’s got the consistency of peanut butter and most of the taste. It’s probably a little bland, but could probably be traced to the lack of salt. On its own, how Jacob likes it, it’s pretty good. With jam you can’t tell the difference. It’s good to know that though Violet will never have real peanut butter she will have a opertunity to have a substitute that’s almost as good. We’ll have to make sure that Violet, Jacob and the people around us understand that it’s not Peanut butter. That any Peanut butter could be very bad for little Violet.
Project 365-096: Climbing

Tonight I needed to pickup a few things from Shoppers Drug Mart, so Jacob and I headed out for an evening walk. On the way I snapped a picture of Jacob climbing up a storefront ramp. Its something he does most time we walk past so it seemed a great moment to capture.
Project 365-095: Opening day

In honor of the Toronto Blue Jays opening the baseball season today, I pulled out Jacobs Kids Club Jersey and snapped this picture. It’s not the best picture but sometimes that doesn’t matter. Though Jacob didn’t really watch the game with me, he did seem interested in going to a game soon.
It’s strange in a year when the Jays winning as many as they lose would be considered a big success I’m quite excited by the start of the season. I think it’s because these players are the future, though this team might not compete for the playoffs in a few years a lot of these players (hopefully) will.

Project 365-094: Chocolate

Jacob sits on the patio at Nana’s house enjoying a chocolate bunny. It was a great Easter spent with Family.
Project 365-093: Getting Fitted

Today Jacob went for his tux fitting. In just 3 weeks his Nana and Papa are getting married and he’s going to be the ring bearer. Violet could be the flower girl, if she can get the hang of the walking thing.
