Over the last couple of weeks Melissa and I have wanted to reorganize Jacob room. So this weekend we went at it. One casualty of the reorganization was his Train table, its been relegated to storage for a while. That doesn’t mean no trains, in fact today Jacob mad a large track that stretched across his room and under his bed.
Today the family was out and about, first together at swimming. Then Jacob went with his Nana and Papa to lunch and shopping for skating gear. While The women folk and I hit the mall looking for presents. When we all were done we picked up Jacob in front of Sobey’s. While Melissa was picking up a few essentials, the kids and I sat in the car. While sitting there I played with taking a more creative picture. Should have really moved the car though…
Tonight we have a picture of Violet playing with a doll house at Scholars Choice. We were there looking for letters for Jacob. She really liked playing with the doll house, I guess we know something she’ll be getting for Christmas.
Tonight we have a picture of the queen of the house, Chloe. She’s been a bit out of sorts with the new gates, but she’s still the queen. I just wish I could spend my days lounging around like that.
Today Melissa and I helped Jacob with his first homework assignment. It’s a family newspaper. It was great to watch how excited Jacob got, writing out the different headlines and picking out pictures.
Today Melissa took Jacob to the Just for Kids clinical. It seems he’s had a reaction to the Amoxicillan he’s been taking for his latest ear infection. So this evening Jacob and I headed out to pick up the replacement anti-biotics.
Today was a family day out and about. I snapped this picture while Melissa helped Jacob read some Bob Books. I would love to write more about our day, but I have some work that needs doing and a run that needs running. More tomorrow.
Heading to work today I was surprised to see construction equipment in another of our neighborhood playground. You may remember my post a couple of weeks ago about them removing the play ground from another park (see post here). Today For a minute I thought they might be doing it again. I spent part of this evening trying to find out what they are doing to the park, but my internet searches turned up nothing. I think I’m going to have to find some better ways to stay connected with my community.
Tonight Jacob grabbed some paper, a pen and some of his scrambled letters and tried to make words. It amazing to watch my little guy sound out words.
Wedseday is work from home day and with it I got to walk my boy to school. Walking down with Jacob and Violet was fun. Our little guy really gets excited by school. Though the cutest thing is how Violet reacts when the bell rings. She lines up with Jacob’s class. Today she worked her way to the front of the line, it was so cute. Melissa tells me she does it every day. Its so adorable.
