Today while Jacob was working on his homework, Violet joined him and worked on her writing. Most of the words are her writing, just the two circled ones were written by her Nan as examples. I’m so impressed with how much my little girls writing has improved over the last few weeks.
Today Jacob brought home a little surprise. I was a science test, one that he didn’t mention he had. Of course it’s the 97% mark he got made me so proud that I thought I’d share some of his test as today’s picture of the day.
Today was Jacob’s Beaver Thanksgiving potluck. One of the deserts was Marshmallows and Violet was very excited to have one. I’m not sure why she used a knife and fork to eat it, but she was very careful as she cut it into bite size pieces. It was fun to see Jacob playing with all the other kids. I really think he’s going to like being a beaver.
Today Jacob spent the evening putting together a project on Frogs for school He worked so hard on the it, it was fun to watch. Writing up the facts, drawing and colour the frogs.
Today was the first day of our kids hockey seasons. It was also Violet’s first game ever. Both did great and are very excited that the season has started. We spent around 4 hours in the rink today, and I’m thinking that will be a pretty normal Saturday. I was pretty light with the camera today, only 200 pictures between the SLR and my Cell phone. I took a bunch and put together today’s picture of the day collage. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be doing something more with today’s pictures. Of course in the coming months I’ll have lots of Saturday hockey pictures.
This afternoon I found myself wondering around College and Spadina, so I went to check out the Merril Collection at the Lillian H. Smith branch of the Toronto Public Library. As I was leaving the library I noticed the owl on the wall, I thought Violet would like it so I snapped a picture for my picture of the day.
Today while getting Jacob’s clothing together for the laundry I found this little guy. I’m not sure who it is, but I thought it’d make a fun picture of the day.
Today I thought I’d change it up and bring back the monthly pictures of me. I’m hoping to start on the road of getting myself healthier, and hope to track the changes with a picture of me each month. Looking at today’s picture I’m think I probably she get to the barber shop for a hair cut soon.
As I reach 4 years of blogging every day, 3 months shy of 3 full years of a picture a day. I turn to the children lunches for today picture of the day, with the pledge that I will try to ad more creativity in the month to come.
Today we headed out for a family outing. It didn’t go as planned, but it was still a great day. I captured these pictures of the kids as the played on a Tractor at Chudleigh
