Today after swimming with Jacob off at beaver camp, Violet and I met up with Melissa to spend the evening together. While out we got some Starbucks. While trying to get a picture of her, she put it on her forehead and said, I’m a unicorn. So for today’s picture of the day I have my little Starbucks Unicorn.
Tomorrow night my little guy heads off to his first Beaver Scout Camp, so tonight Papa took him to Mountain Equipment Co-Op to pick up some of the thing he’s going need. Jacob was so happy to have so much red in his camping gear. I can’t believe he’s going to camp tomorrow night. My little boy is growing up so fast.
I’m not sure where she got it but Violet was all about her “Phone” this evening. She seems quite proud of her little cardboard phone.
As the weather get’s colder, it’s time to make sure everyone has all the winter clothing they are going to need. So this week Melissa picked up some nice gloves for the kids.
This evening Melissa captured this cute picture of my little angel. On an evening when I’ve tried to focus on my writing it’s nice to have such a great picture(and bonus video) to use for my picture of the day.

This morning while the family was recovering my little girl built this out of Jacob’s Lego. She was quite proud of it and even rebuilt it so I’d see how she did it. I just wish I had got a recording of her building it.
Today was a hard day. The entire family has some sort of Virus. The only good thing is we managed to get to hockey before it took its toll on the family.
It’s November first, for some it means growing a mustache for others, it’s just another month in the year. For me it means writing. It the past that was a novel, more recently It’s just been my blog. This year I want it to be my novel, but as we near the end of the first day I have yet to write a single word of my novel. I sat down in front of my computer tonight and have done every thing I could think of instead of writing. My latest attempt to do something other than writing is this blog post. As you can see from today’s picture I have plenty of supplies, and that’s without raiding the kids candy stash. Of course now instead of writing my novel I’m blogging and it’s time to put a stop to that and start writing my novel… or maybe it’s time for another game of candy crush….
Tonight was Halloween and the entire family was excited about heading out trick or treating. Not even the rainy weather could dampen our spirits. Jacob was thrilled that we ran into one of his school friends as we were making the rounds and the two of them hung out for the rest of the evening. Which suited Violet just fine as she and Ben spent the night going from house to house together.

It seems that I never have enough time to spend with the kids. Tonight I made time. First doing a puzzle with Violet and then doing homework and building Lego with Jacob. I didn’t capture any pictures of the puzzle but I did get some good pictures of Jacob.
