Today we celebrated Jacob’s birthday with a trip to Canada’s Wonderland. I can’t believe my little boy is 12 years old. It was a great day spent mostly at Splashworks, enjoying the Waterslides, wave pool and Lazy river. We did find time for a trip down the White Water Canyon too.
Tonight I got down to the Rogers Centre for the first time this season. To see the Blue Jays play the Baltimore Orioles. It was quite a game. After each team scored 1 run in the first it stayed that way into the 7th when the Toronto reliever gave up a solo home run. The next inning they had back to back homers stretching the lead to 4-1. Thankfully, in the bottom of the 9th, the Jays bats came alive and they tied the game at 4 forcing extra innings. Unlike the Yankee game Wednesday (A lose in the 13th inning), the Jays won it in the 10th. It was a great game.
At times it seems that all of our free time is taken up running from one kid’s activity to another. Seeing the joy in our kids as they take part in their different activities makes all the effort worth it. So today I have another Lacrosse picture.
Today we took a break from lacrosse to head to Just Shoot It with some of her next season teammates. It was fun watching her and her friends working on lifting the puck.
Monday night is Lacrosse practice, and I captured these picture of Violet battling her teammate for the ball during one of the drills. I just love how hard she tries at everything.
The summer is here and that means our Sunday mornings are spent at the lacrosse field. Today we were in Brampton, and for the first time in 3 years of lacrosse, it didn’t rain. Sure it looked like it was going to for most of the morning, but it held off till after Violet’s games were done. The day started out with the team playing really well against a very tough opponent, unfortunately, it ended with 2 loses. Still watching them today you can see the promise of the team, giving me hope for the rest of the season.
Today we celebrated Jacob turning twelve with friends, family and of course Video Games. It’s so hard to believe that my boy will be twelve in a week. Where does the time go…
Friday is my work from home day, but that really means work from anywhere there is good WiFi. So now that the kid’s school is next to a Starbucks, well a Starbucks Kiosk, I find myself dropping them off and heading for a coffee while I get started on the days work.
Every year Ruby gets a Dino bone in her stocking. She loves it, Christmas morning while the family opens presents, she happily goes to town on her bone. I thought I’d show what’s left of it after a just over a week.
It was a lazy day, spent mostly in PJs making slime. So what better way to remember it then this picture of violet, as she got all the ingredients for slime creation.
