Tonight I came home from work to an empty house, I don’t remember the last time that happened. The kids were off on an adventure with their Nan, and Melissa’s hadn’t returned from her afternoon appointment. So it was just me and Ruby for dinner. Ruby had her usual dog food, but I wanted something different. So I made myself a steak stir fry. I don’t do a lot of cooking, but it’s nice to know that I can more than just BBQ.

Today I was working from home, during the day, Ruby curled up near my feet and slept. I captured today’s picture of the day while she was relaxing.

Tonight we have a picture of the sky that I took during an after work walk. I thought setting sun looked cool against the clouds.

Today Toronto went to the polls to replace our Mayor and City Council. The results weren’t ideal, but it could have been worse.

Yesterday was our Halloween Party and it occurd to us that Ruby did get a change to show off her costume. So today Violet posed with our Supper Puppy,

Today we celebrated Halloween early, with Friends, Family, and a lot of kids. It was what will likely be our first annual Halloween bash. We had 29 kids in all and a bunch of parents, I never counted the adults. It was a long day and I want to do is sleep, but first I have to post my picture of the day. So here is our drinks table with its Zombie Tonic and Spider Cider

Today Violet’s class headed out for a field trip to the Pumpkin patch. She loved it, but what made the day for our little Violet was that her Mommy was one of the parents who went along. I like that she took along our good camera and took pictures. I chose one this one of smiling Violet to use as today’s picture of the day.

Today was a quite evening for our little family. Violet fell asleep early and Jacob (and I) played some Minecraft. I captured this picture before  taking Violet up to her bed for what I hope will be the night.

This morning I went to get a coffee in a clients launch room, and for a moment I was a little leery of actually drinking it. Of course after the multiple cups I had throughout the day, I can say my concerns were unfounded.

Tonight we have a picture of some of Melissas party prep efforts. As the days till the party slip away I have to admit I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure it’s going to be great fun.
