It’s strange how things get caught in your memory. I can’t look at a plane in the sky without thinking, or more often than not saying ‘The Plane Boss the plane.’ I think this is from the 70’s TV show ‘Fantasy Island’. I never watched the show, so I don’t know why I say it, but I do and today that’s the inspiration for my Picture of the Day
Tonight was our practice at the Ford Centre and with it was the opportunity to have a treat. Usually, that isn’t POD worthy, but Melissa captured them so perfectly I just had to use it.
Today my baby girl turned 11. I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by.
Today we took a break from hockey to Celebrate Violet’s birthday with friends and family. Well wasn’t much of a break, we raced from a hockey game to get to the party on time. We made it and a good time was had by all. Of course, the real hero of the party was Melissa for putting together such a wonderful celebration.
Another day and another hockey game. Though today we had the added fun of a bit of a snowstorm to drive threw. So I thought this picture of the snow roads would be a great picture of the day.
The regular season is winding down, and this weekend our young hockey player has three games. Tonight it was against Oakville. In a game, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities. It was a 0-0 tie, which is better than a loss, but with only 6 points separating 2 and 7th in the standing every point counts.
Today I got myself a little present. It’s something I want to take the time to write about properly, but I don’t have time tonight. In the coming days, I’ll post more pictures and write up my thoughts of what’s in this surprisingly small box.
Last Wednesday I shared a picture of Jacob’s new keyboard to honour his weekly music lesson, so today I thought I’d share a picture of Violet’s Ballett shoes because while Jacob is off at his music lesson violet is off dancing. Of course, I don’t think Wednesday nights are Ballett night…
Tonight was a regular practice for our young hockey player.
When I sat down with Jacob to play his new board game Monopoly Gamer, I expected a regular game of Monopoly with some Mario themed figures and locations. I was wrong. Sure there are properties you buy, but they’re only 2 in a set and you can’t buy houses or hotels. The money is Coins when you pass go you collect 2 coins, not 200 dollars. The dice are a regular 6 sider and a power-up six sider, so while the board is smaller it seems to take longer to go around it. What I’m trying to say is that it felt different than other monopoly games I’ve played, even more than the round Cars Monopoly Jacob got when he was younger. As someone who is kinda bored of the traditional Monopoly, it was a fun and refreshing change, and I can’t wait to play it with the entire family
