It seems our little guy isn’t feeling to well. After a great day at school, where he went on his first field trip, he came home and crashed. Of course it’s now midnight and he’s awake, though I’m not sure for how long.

POD: A great day for Baseball
Today Jacob and I headed down to the Rogers Centre to watch some baseball. Jacob was excited about being at a game, though I’m not sure if it was the Baseball or the snacks that excited him more. We were there with some of his Blastball teammates and it was great fun. The game featured 3 home runs (2 by Jose Bautista). All of which ended up in the seats to sections away from us. Our seats were behind the Blue Jay Bullpen so we had a great view of the relief pitchers warming up, Jacob even snagged a ball after Jason Frasor finished warming up. Both Jacob and I are looking forward to our next game later in the summer.
POD: Every Penny Counts
Since around Easter Jacob has been collecting change so he can get himself some more Playmobils. Today he sat down to count it. First he separated it by type of coin, then he counted each and wrote it down. Finally we worked out how much it worked out to. His total surprised me. With his 67 Pennies, 15 nickles, 35 dimes 10 quarters and 1 loony he’s got over $10 in his little hoard. As he went off to bed he was quite excited thinking about what he could by with it.

POD: Snuggle up and Read Update
Today I decided to take a some time and write about Jacob’s reading. Each week Melissa and I look forward to looking into his school bag on Friday afternoon and seeing what books Jacob and his teacher have chosen for that week. This week when we pulled out the books we were surprised by how advanced they were. It seems he’s reading is growing by leaps and bounds. I’m so proud of my little guy.
POD: Jacob’s wishlist
Ever since Jacob got the Playmobil school for Christmas Jacob’s really interested in all things Playmobil. It goes beyond just playing with them, he often browses the Playmobil and Mastermind Toys (A local toy store that has a large select of Playmobil). A while back I suggested that he make a list of which ones he wanted, he plans on giving the list to his Nana so she knows which to get him for his birthday. So day after day he’d sit at the computer looking over the different sets trying to decide. For a while I thought he’d given up on the list, but yesterday morning he announced that he was done his list. I looked it over, and a part from a few minor mistakes I was surprised at how much his writing has improved. I guess it’s time to come up with another writing project.
