Today’s picture is an attempt to show off the nice braid my mom put in Violets hair today. It was fun to watch my mom try to get her to stand still long enough to finish them. In the end it was that she was doing her hair liked Tangled that had Violet standing, mostly still. Of course when it came time for me to try to get a photo I was on my own.
Today I did something I had put off for years. Today I went for my G road test. Over the years I have heard horror stories of people failing 2 or 3 times and even that the testers at the Toronto testing centres had a quota of people to fail. In the end none of that mattered for me, for two reasons. The first is I had procrastinated so long I was out of options, I had to take the test where I could find it. And second because well I nailed it my first try, I’m sure I made some mistakes during the test, but it didn’t mater. I passed and as long as I don’t let it expire I wont have to go through it again.
Today Melissa took the kids on an adventure down-town to pick up our passports for our up coming vacation. She took today’s picture at the passport office. The three of them seemed to have a good time on their outing.
Today we strapped Violets car seat into Nana and Papa’s van in preparation for our family camping trip next week. We did it a week early because we wanted to get it in securely and on a more up-right position then it has been in the van. We really want our little girl to be comfortable during the 5 hour drive.
When we signed Jacob up for T-Ball one of the dates we were looking forward to was the trip to the Blue Jays game. As the date approached it became clear that with Melissa working, I either needed to find a baby sitter or take Violet with me. I decided to be brave and order her a ticket. I have to say that she did really well. He had some minor incidents, but over all it was a great day out for the three of us.
Today Melissa took the kids out to the local splash pad to beat the heat. While there Violet spread-out her towel to ‘Sun Bathe’. As you can see in the picture, I don’t think she has it figured out yet. Plus Melissa always covers the kids with SPF-60 sunblock when they head out to the splash pad, so I don’t think she;ll be getting much of a tan.
Today was T-Ball day, but instead of loading the kids in the car and heading off to the game. I pulled out the Trailer, hooked it up to the old bike that I got from Danny and headed out. It took a little longer then I thought, but both the kids loved the ride, so it was well worth it.
After dinner I the kids and I headed out to the local park. I on the way home as we were crossing the street with the sun behind us, casting long shadows. It seemed like a moment with capturing, so out came
Today Jacob had his 5 year check-up. Everything is good, so it was a quick appointment. It also made for a great picture of the day.
This afternoon, while I was watching Baseball the kids each came down stairs and sat down to watch with me. It didn’t take long before each was snoring. I guess Melissa really tuckered them out at the splash pad while I was out on my long run this morning. It was so cute I snapped a quick picture with my phone. Instead of use on as my picture and the other as a bonus I thought I’d make them a single picture.
