Today we have a picture of Violet working on her hockey skills. The first of a few preseason warm ups. It’s amazing how excited she gets to be playing hockey again.

Soon Violet begins her first year of big girl dance classes. No more combo classes, full hour of Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acro and Musical theater. So this year she needs three different pairs of shoes.

Violet spent the last week of summer at overnight camp. While she was away she wrote us a letter. Of course it didn’t arrive till long after she came home. Still it’s a cute letter.

Today the kids headed off to their first day of school. They both had a great day, seeing there friends and meeting there new teachers. I can’t believe that Jacob is in grade 5 and Violet is in 2nd. Where did the time go. This could also be the last first day of school at St. Teresa’s school. We’re hoping their new school will be finished in time for next year.

Today we celebrated the last day of summer vacation with a trip to a local park. While Violet played with her friend at the water park and playground Jacob headed out into the lake.

In two sleeps the kids head back to school, so we began getting their bags ready for the big day. I love how excited they both are to get back to school.

Today was our annual trip to the Canadian National Exhibition. It was a beautiful day for it. Not a cloud in the sky , but it was never too hot. We spent most of the day waiting in lines so that the kids could go on the different rides. It was an amazing day.

Today Violet returned from her week at camp.She love each of her 5 days, and is already looking forward to going back next year.

I wrote earlier about the fall bringing new activities for our family, one of them is Guitar lessons for Jacob. He started playing at summer camp and is looking forward to his lessons starting next week.

With the kids at Great wold Lodge with their Nana and Papa this weekend we had our own house guest. Ruby had a great time hanging with her sister,
