After the kids being away with Nana and Papa the last couple of days I was glad to find time this morning to play with them. One of the things we did was play Jacob’s new Cars Monopoly.

Today while heading out I captured this picture of the falling snow. It looked like we were going to have some snow for the kids to play in. It was starting to accumulate on the side walks, and they were big puffy flacks. Of course within the our the snow has stopped and the sidewalks were clear. So much for a snowy day.

Today I found myself enjoying a cup of Tim Horton’s coffee. Not just any cup. It was the new bigger extra-large. I am a little surprised that as I was finishing it I found myself thinking that It might be a tad to large.

Today I found myself looking across the city after the sun had gone down. Looking out the window I knew what I wanted to be my picture of the day, and after a couple of tries I managed to capture today’s image.

Tonight as bedtime our little Violet didn’t want to go to bed. I had set her up in her bed, then went to put some clothes away. When I came back downstairs, I noticed something on the couch. I think she thought if she’s under the blanket I wouldn’t see her.

Today was a day of running around, and knowing that dinner wouldn’t be a challenge we picked up a Rotisserie chicken for dinner. After a great dinner I took what was left and started the process of making soup. It’s the 3rd time I’m making soup from poultry bones since Christmas. It’s great to have a nice bowl of homemade soup on a cold winters day.

Today we celebrated Violet’s third birthday with friends and family. It’s always nice when so many people gather in celebration, and even the incompetence of Pizza Pizza couldn’t stop the party from being a great success. I want to thank every one for coming and stay tuned for a post dedicated to the party in the coming days.

Today my little girl turned 3, to celebrate Melissa made a Oreo Ice Cream Cake. So with me working from home we had a little family celebration during Jacob’s lunch hour. The kids had a special lunch and with cake and presents, before Jacob headed back to school and Melissa headed to work.

Our little, soon to be birthday girl, has been napping late in the afternoon making bed time a little more difficult. Today she curled up on the couch with her blanket and fell asleep while I watched the end of the leaf game. She was so cute, I thought I should capture the moment. After all it’s the last picture I’ll have of her while she’s 2.

Today I saw the Tricycle I wish I could have got for one of my kids. When I first saw it, I knew I had to get a picture. It’s just a great little tricycle. Of course Jacob’s now to old and Violet already has one. So I’ll be content with the picture.
