Once again I found myself working from home on a Friday so I got the pleasure of taking Violet to her weekly Gymnastics class. As I watched today I was able to get better pictures of my little girl then last week. So I whipped up a little collage of some of the better shots. I just love the excitement she shows as we walk up to Toronto Gymnastics International for her class. I’m not sure how many more of her classes I’ll be able to get to this session, but I’m glad I’ve been the last couple of weeks.
I have one question for my regular readers, do you like these collages? On days like today I always struggle with whether I should just choose a single picture as my picture of the day and then through the rest in as bonus pictures. What do you think?
Tonight was skating night for the kids, Jacob has hockey skills, and Violet is learning to skate. It’s amazing to watch how much better they both are getting. For Violet it’s only been a few short weeks and she’s looking like she’s can almost skate without aid. I’m so proud of my little baby girl.
After dinner it’s time for Jacob’s homework, which these days means a chance for him to use his new desk. I snapped this pictures while he worked on this weeks spelling words.
Today’s picture of the day is a collage of photo’s my mom took this afternoon, while walking with Violet. She took some stunning pictures today and I wanted to share them.
Tonight before dinner Jacob wanted me to help him with his new Video game. So he sat on my life and I fought the Joker and Lex Luther in Lego Batman 2 on his 3ds. While we played on the DS, my mom snapped today’s picture of the day. I’m impressed how far my little man has gotten in that game, in the few short day’s he’s had it.
For a while I’ve had a pain in my foot that’s been getting worse, so today I finally went to have a doctor look at it. Of course they sent me for a X-Ray. My foot isn’t broken, but it does hurt, so I’ve been given some anti-inflammatories to see if that helps and instructed to follow-up with my doctor if it doesn’t get better, or gets worse. While there I captured a picture of the X-Ray machine, though I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get a picture of my X-Rayed foot from the computer screen when I met with the doctor.
Today was Jacob’s second hockey game of the season, and he started the game out great. With a Goal on his first shift. It’s the first goal he’s ever scored. He really worked hard for the goal, first bringing it out from behind the net and shooting it. When that wasn’t enough he got the rebound and put it in. We’re so proud of our little hockey star. He tried for the entire game, and seemed to always want to be in own the play. Though I didn’t capture the moment of his first goal(It happened to fast) I did get a few pictures during the game, and even one with him holding he First Goal Trophy afterwards that I’ve thrown together in a collage for today’s picture of the day.
I finally managed to get to one of Violet’s Gymnastic classes today. It’s amazing how excited she got when arrived. Watching her during the class was great. She’s so exited to do all the exercises. I’m so glad we signed her up for it.
Today on my way into work I captured a picture of the second crane at a local building site. On my way home yesterday it was just a tower stretching to the sky, but by the time I was walking in to the office this morning it looked complete. So I snapped a picture looking at it now, I have to say I’m impressed with the clouds behind it and wished I had noticed them this morning. I probably would have tried a few more shots if I had.
Tonight was CSAC at Jacob’s school. I started going last fall, I wanted to be more apart of Jacob’s school. With all my other boards, I’m not sure how big of a role I can take at CSAC, but this year I think I’ll try to do more than just show up for the meetings. Of course the kids like the meetings because they get to spend time at Jacob’s school after hours.
