This morning while getting Violet’s clothes together for the day Melissa saw this scene on her little toy kitchen. I couldn’t help but take a picture. All she told me in the morning was that they were eating pizza. It wasn’t till this evening when I show the picture to Violet that she told me the rest of story of what’s going on. She said, ‘Mario is the bay and the other one is the dad. He’s having a duty day.’

This this morning as I went to check on the kids I was surprised to find Jacob had joined Violet in her room. Often when the kids wake up in the night they find their way into our bed, I guess last night Jacob got lost on the way back to his own bed.

Yesterday Jacob lost a tooth, so this morning before he woke up I snuck into his room to see what the tooth fairy had left him. I got a big surprise, personal letter from the tooth fairy herself and five dollars. Almost makes me want to lose a tooth.

Today Jacob lost his first tooth. He’s been waiting so long for this hes just so excited. So when stuck the tooth in his tooth fair pillow and off her went to bed.

Today our neighbors to the south held there Elections, where they re-elected their president. Considering I had no other pictures for today this seemed like a good one.

This evening with Melissa out seeing her doctor about her injury (Broken Tail Bone) the kids and I were left to fend for ourselves for dinner and evening entertainment. So after we ate we cleaned out the living room, complete with Jacob vacuuming the carpet, before the kids headed upstairs to play for a bit. Around 7 I went up to see how they were doing and we ended up sitting around the little table in Jacob’s room building a house with his Lego an hour before bed. Once it was time for bed, the kids tidied up their rooms and I tucked them in for the night. It was strange how both went right to sleep, no complaints at all from my little Diva as I tucked her into her big girl bed. Leaving me with a little quiet time before Melissa got home.

Today after we got home from hockey while Violet had her unexpected afternoon nap, Jacob asked if we could pull out his Monopoly Junior. I was reluctant at first, there was a bunch of other things that I wanted to do this afternoon, but he was so excited by the prospect of playing that I couldn’t say no. So we played a game before dinner. Then after dinner Violet found the board game on the table where we had put it when we cleared the table for dinner and she wanted to play too. So after we ate I found myself sitting around the dinner table with my kids playing Monopoly . Junior. The most amazing thing about it was that Violet won.

Today Violet got her new bedroom set, So of course I had to use a picture of her new room as my picture of the day. I could write more, but I think I’ll let the bonus pictures show it off.

Tomorrow Violet get’s her big girl bed, and new bedroom furniture. So tonight we moved out some of the old furniture to make room for the new. Of course Violet wanted to help get her room ready. Of course I had my phone handy to snap a picture as she carried one of her drawer to her old dressers new home.

It’s Halloween so out comes the ghost and ghouls, or in our family’s case Iron Man and an Angel, to prowl around the streets looking for treats and performing tricks. Of course with the rain and cold, it wasn’t a great night to be out. But the kids loved it and I think Jacob was just thrilled to finally be able to ware his Iron Man costume. Violet looked so cute in her Angel costume, but it was a little long and hard for her to walk in.
