As you saw yesterday my little ones decided to play hair dress. So last night Jacob had a trip to the Papa Barber shop. Today it was Violet’s turn. Mommy took her down to the local hair salon. After a little convincing she sat in the chair and held still while the hair dresser did what she could with what was there.
Today our little ones reminded us, that when they are playing together and it get’s two quiet it might not be a good thing. You see they decided to play hair dresser with real scissors. They took turns cutting each others hair, I’m not sure who thought of the ‘game’ but they took turns cutting each others hair. Of course the cuts to Violet’s hair were more shocking than the few to Jacobs, but both kids had hair that was close to the scalp. Limiting our options for fixing it. For Jacob we got Papa to give him a buzz cut, for Violet Melissa did a bit to make it look a little better, but we’ll be taking her to a hair salon to see if they can fix it. You can expect to see another picture of Violet’s hair tomorrow.
Today at the doctor’s office I took this picture of Melissa reading to Violet. I love the smile on Violet’s face. She was so happy to be reading the book with mommy. Of course it would have been nice if she had kept some of that happy for when she got in to see the doctor.
Today after skating Jacob had a play date at his friend’s house, so it was just me and Violet hanging out at home. So out came one of her puzzles and we sat on the floor and put it together. It was nice having some time with Just Violet and me. Of course before I knew it Jacob was home and I was reading them the Paper Bag Princess before bed.
Today when I got home from work Violet showed off her tambourine. She made it at preschool and seemed really proud of it. So I thought it’d make a good Picture of the day.
Tonight Melissa spent some time slaving away in the kitchen making muffins for Violet’s pre-school. So I thought a picture of the muffins would make a good picture of the day.
Today our family headed down to the Santa Claus Parade for an morning and afternoon of Christmas cheer. The day started early with Jacob and I heading out first. We got to our spot on the parade route around 9 am with Melissa, Violet and my mom joining us at about 11. It was good that we went so early because by the time everyone joined us the crowd was two rows deep. The kids had a great time watching the floats and seeing the big man, we took hundreds of photos, but I’m not up to sharing them today. Stay tuned in the coming days for a more.

Today you see the dangers of taking to many pictures of your kids. While heading to ballet with Violet I was taking my usual random pictures. When she decided enough was enough and walked over to the wall. She stayed that way till I put my phone away.

Today we have a picture of Violet Showing off her some of her artwork from preschool.
I captured today’s picture of the day this evening after swimming. For some reason when we got home Violet wanted to dress up in her princess dress. Jacob settled into the big chair watching Netflix on his 3DS. I guess she was interested in what he was watching, so she climbed onto the big chair to watch with her big brother. When I saw the two of them, I had capture the moment so I grabbed my phone and snapped a few shots. As a father it always makes me smile to see the kids playing together so nicely.
