POD: Standing with the trees

From Picture of the Day 2013

With swimming canceled this morning, as they cleaned up from the store, Nan took the kids on an adventure looking for new places to play. First they went to her old neighborhood to check out the Vermont Square. From there they check out Christie Pits. Today’s picture of the day is from Vermont Square. While I was going through the pictures my mom took today these one really stood out. My only question is why do the trees seem to have exhaust ports?

POD: Money Jug

From Picture of the Day 2013

For years we’ve been collecting money in an old water jug(Project 365-050: Savings Account or Toy). Thanks to our friends Jen and Bill our jug got an upgrade, from plastic to glass. The Jug is our vacation fun and the kids are really into putting any change they find into it. One of the things we’ve changed with the upgrade is that we’re keeping the pennies out of the jug. POD: Bumper Cars

From Picture of the Day 2013

Today the kids, Nana and I headed to Fantasy Fair at the Woodbine Centre. It was a fun afternoon with lots rides. Today’s picture of the day was taken on the bumper cars, right before we ran into Nana and Violet. It wasn’t really a planned day so all I had was my phone so the pictures are limited. Though I hope to find the time to put them together for a post later in the week.

POD: A new Interest?

From Picture of the Day 2013

I capture this picture of Jacob, Violet and Jordan as they compared Pokémon Playing cards. Well Jacob and Jordan were comparing their cards, I’m not sure what Violet was doing there.  I think I’m going to have to sit down with Jacob one of these days and learn how to actually play the Pokémon card game, so that he and Jordan can do more than look at the cards.

POD: Celebrating 2 birthdays

From Picture of the Day 2013

Today we celebrated to birthday’s in our little family, Melissa’s and Canada’s. We had the first part of the day to ourselves, but it was nice to be able to share a cupcake with the kids when they got home.  I want to say two things, first is Happy Birthday to the women I love and second is thank you to Nana and Papa for the weekend without kids.
