Tonight I headed now to the Rogers center for some baseball. The Jays didn’t reward me with a win, but it was a fun game and there is always tomorrow. It took me a while to decide which picture to use, in the end I settled for this one.
Today Jacob’s camp went to Medieval Times for their session field trip. He came back with a crown and a flag. He was so excited that I took a picture of him waving his flag for today’s picture of the day. Tomorrow is the last day of camp for the kids, this week has just flown by. They seem to be having such a great time. I’m so glad we signed them up for another week in August.
After dinner today me and the kids headed out for a little ride. Jacob rode his bike and Violet rode in the trailer. We headed to Marie Curtis Park where the kids played for a bit before we road home along the lake. I really enjoyed riding with Jacob and it’s amazing to see how much better he’s gotten in the last three weeks (POD:Learning to Ride).
This morning when I booted in my computer at work I was greeted with these to pictures. It brought a smile to see these two cute pictures of Violet. I so rarely see my computer’s desktop that I forgot I had set it to change randomly throughout the day.
Today the kids headed off to the first day of camp. They were so excited to go. Talking to them tonight during dinner they seemed to have a great time. It’s a shame they are only going to be going for two weeks over the summer.
After dinner tonight the family headed out for a short walk to get some things from the store. While we walked the kids enjoyed a Mr Freeze. I captured these pictures during out walk.
This afternoon one of Violet’s ballet friends birthday party. Both of the kids were invited to the princess themed party. One of the activities that the kids seemed to like was the tattoos. Today’s picture of the day is of Violet getting her tatoo and the finished product. Of course they are just air brushed on and will wash off in about a week. Jacob got a tattoo to but wouldn’t let me get a picture of it.
Tonight while I was sitting with the kids reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jacob asked if he could read. What could I do but had him the book and listen to him read. He read an entire chapter. Of course Violet wanted to take a turn at reading too. Of course she’s still hasn’t learned to read so that posed a bit of a problem. I’m thinking tomorrow we’ll have to pull out the Bob books and start reading with Violet.
As I was heading home tonight, it was such a lovely day I thought I’d take the long walk to the subway, which happens to head over the Humber river. While crossing I couldn’t help but take a moment to enjoy the view.
Today when I got home from work Violet presented to me this present. For a while now she’s been interested in envelopes and cards. So when she presented the envelope to me this evening I thought it was sweet and took some pictures as I opened it.
