With Jacob’s hockey camp just over a week away it was time to see how much our little guy had grown. To see what new equipment he would need. After a trip out with Melissa and Papa to get new shin pads, helmet and stick he’s ready to hit the ice. With Jacob trying on his equipment Violet also wanted to get into hers. I couldn’t decide whose picture to use, so out came PhotoGrid to put the two together for today’s picture of the day. I can’t wait till the fall to be able to watch violet learning to skate and play hockey. Of course I’m also excited to see Jacob score his first goal in the coming season.
Today we celebrated our niece Sofia’s birthday. The kids had a great time, painting and decorating their Flower pot photo holder. Plus dressing up for photos to put into their frames. To top it off, the kids headed over to Auntie Lisa and Uncle Jim’s after the party for even more fun. Thanks Lisa and Jim for a great day. As always more photo’s to come.
To was Jacob’s last day of kindergarten, in 2 short months he starts grade 1. Where has my baby boy gone?
We had a very strange weather weekend this weekend. Most of the time it looked like it was about to rain, but really only raided a little. Of course that leaves out Friday’s crazy winds. While Melissa and I spent sometime together this afternoon, I snapped this picture of the blue sky peaking through the clouds.

Saturday mornings are busy for our little family, with ballet and T-Ball happening at the same time. Of course with Violet’s recital in 2 weeks we won’t have many more of these Saturday morning trips.
Today we have a picture of Melissa and her friend, they call themselves the Skinny B!$@#$, unfortunately they were missing there Farsi interpreter.
I’ve been told this isn’t our plane, but by the time our plane got here it was two dark to take a picture through the double windows. Since we’re about to hop on a plane to go on our vacation it seems fitting that my picture is of a plane.
Today I got to watch the Toronto Blue Jays open there 2012 season at home at the Rogers Center. It was a great game even though their new closer blew the lead in the 9th. I want to thank my Mom for the tickets and Nana and Papa for watching the kids so I could enjoy the baseball game. The one downside is that once again I’ve taken hundreds of pictures that I need to take the time to sort through. For now here is a picture of Colby Rasmus sliding into 3rd base completing his triple.
For the last couple of years I’ve sat on a board of directors. It’s been mostly a commitment of time, but today I had to face the Mic. Today I presented the budget to the members, looking for their approval. It’s been years since I’d done any type of public speaking. So going into it I was a bit nervous, but I’m happy to report all went well, without any missteps.
Today was the third game of Jacob’s first playoff series in hockey. I’m not sure if it was a usual friday night crowd at the MasterCard Centre or if it was filled with parents watching the playoffs, what I do know is that there was no were to park. Of course since we were in papa’s jeep, other options presented themselves.
