To celebrate Pie Day our family decided to have a round dinner. I thought about just getting a Pie, but thought the kids would prefer a pizza pie.

Sitting down to a family dinner on Sunday nights is a tradition I really enjoy, of course with Melissa’s shift work it’s hard to have the full family every Sunday. Tonight it was just me and the kids. We had a simple dinner of Chicken, Rice and Broccoli.

This afternoon it was just me and the kids and when they wanted a snack I put these plats together for them. It was a slow day for photo’s so I guess it’ll do as my picture of the day.

Today Melissa and Violet headed off to Ikea with Auntie Susanne, while there Melissa picked up a treat for me. Chocolate covered marshmallows. It’s been a while since I had them, probably not the best snack after a 12k run.

Tonight when I got home from work I felt like something different. So after looking in the fridge and asking the kids what they felt like, it was decided we’d have mini pizza’s. They looked so good that I had to take a picture of them for my picture of the day.

After all the pictures taken while at wonderland yesterday I was all pictured out today. Though I did get this nice one of the great pancakes Melissa made for the family this morning

Today Melissa and I headed out to Ribfest to enjoy an afternoon in the sun, without the kids. It was a great afternoon, with great ribs. Though I admit it was a little strange to have no kids around all day, and it blows my mind to think we have another full day without them tomorrow.

POD: Turkey Burgers

Today I came home to find that Melissa had made a batch of Turkey burgers for me to grill. I’ve really enjoyed some of the food creations Melissa has made recently, and today was no different. Though I think it was my grilling, and not the flavourful pineapple salsa.
