With all the different family activities it can be hard to find the time to head down to the Rogers Centre to catch a ballgame. Tonight I managed to find the time, So when they handed out ponchos to support Josh Donaldson (@BringerOfRain20) starting the All Star Game I knew what my picture of the day had to be. Of course it would have been better if they won.

Today for my picture of the day I have a follow-up to a post from earlier in the week, POD: Harbour Front Art it seems that I shared only part of Jacob’s artwork. On Thursday I only shared the form, and not the print it created. So today I share the print. I must say it does look like a dragon.

Today we headed to Marie Curtis Park for some picnic fun with friends. We captured this picture of Jacob posing and I knew it had to be my picture of the day.

Tonight I took Ruby out for a walk by the lake and captured tonight’s picture of the day. I spent a long time trying to capture the moon, with little luck. I think I’m going to have to invest in a better manual camera app for my phone, and spend some time learning to use it.

Today we Celebrated my uncle Walters 70 birthday at the Mandarin. It was great to see all the family. Though I took lots of pictures of family I thought these one of the kids enjoying some cotton candy made a great picture of the day.

Today Ruby and I headed down to Etobicoke Valley off Leash park. It’s an amazing dog park, it just kept going and going. Ruby loved it. She was very curious about the water but didn’t really go into it. Perhaps next time.

Today we celebrated the long weekend with a trip to Canada’s Wonderland. I captured this picture at the start of our day as Violet and Jacob planned what rides we’d go on first.

Today I share a picture of one of Violet’s Mothers day gifts. I have to say when I saw it I was thrilled. It’s such a sweet gift and I’m so amazed that her teach did it with all the kids in her class. I just wish Jacob had made one.

I am a programmer, ever since I wrote my first basic program on the Commodore 64 when I was 6 years old, I have loved to program. I do it at work, I do it at home, j have even spent the last 4 months trying to find a way to do it productively on the go(More on that soon). Over the years the type of programming I’ve done has changed, most recently I’ve been focused primarily on web-based projects. Last week I started a new project for a client, a simple desktop application for searching an online database we have developed for a client. It’s not a complicated app, just a simple search with a basic list of results, but I couldn’t stop working on it. It was great, over the course of a weekend I went from nothing to an application ready for testing and final tweaks.

It’s Saturday so that means a morning spent out doors watching Violet play ball hockey. I loved this picture of our little number 7 charging towards the ball. I took lots more pictures and some video but with all the work organizing our storage room today I didn’t have a chance to do anything with them. Perhaps one day this week I will.
