Today I share a picture of Violet Melissa took, with a bit of tweaking..

Yesterday was what I though was Jacob’s first playoff game. Turns out it was the last game of the regular season.  His team won and he played on of his best games of the season. Right after this picture was taken his team scored the winning goal. The puck came right past Jacob into the net, and while he tried to get his stick on it, he insists he did. Though I’ll wait to see the official stats, I like to think he scored

Today we have a picture of Jacob working on his PSA for his media literacy project. He worked really hard on it, first coming up with the idea for his Kids help phone poster and then doing all the work. I’m so proud of him.

To Violet and I headed down to the MasterCard Centre to watch the last home game of the Toronto Furry. Violet was really excited to see Natalie Spooner play. She ware’s her number 24 on her DS team and was so sad that we were not able to get her autograph. The game was great, the Furries managing to tie it in the final few minutes to force overtime. Unfortunately they lost in overtime, but Violet loved the game, and I think we’ll be watching a lot more Furry games in the years to come.

With parent teacher interviews over the last couple of days I got see see some of the art work at the school. So for today’s picture of the day I have a piece Jacob did.  They were supposed to use a single colour and experiment with shading. I think he did a good job.

It’s the weekend and that means hockey for our little family. So for this picture of the day we have Jacob kneeling on the ice listening to his coach before last night game.

Sunday is Violet’s hockey day, so I chose this picture of her celebrating her Game Winning goal from the bench during her game. I love watching her play, she gives it her all every time she heads out on the ice. As long as she keeps working at it, there is no limit to what she can do.

For over 5 years I took the time every day to share something on my blog. For most of that time it was my picture of the day, but sadly back in November that streak came to an end. I wish I could say what happened, why a month that I was hoping to inspire me to get back to writing regularly on my blog could be when I stopped posting at all. I can’t, it started with me taking longer and longer to post my picture of the day, till one day I didn’t then another and another.  Next thing I knew it was December and I hadn’t shared a picture of the day since November 6th. I took them, but they are just sitting in my photo library waiting to be shared.

I tried to jumpstart my blogging in December, but it failed.

So I set my sights on the new year. I hopped that I could start 2016 with a renewed commitment to the blog. The first came and went with no new posts.

Today we headed to dinner with Nana and Papa,  while there I captured this this picture of Violet as she watched the leafs game.  It was great to see her interest,  though at home she never wants to sit and watch with me.  Of course as a father I question if raising her a leaf fan is really the best thing for her.  Can I really set her up for a life filled with  that kind of disappointment.

Tonight we headed the kids school for their Halloween Dance.  But kids were excited to be there with their friends.  While I tried to get a picture of Violet and her friends non of them turned out so enjoy this one of Link…  I mean Jacob.
