Today the kids had their first swimming lesson of the summer. Unlike during the rest of the year, during the summer there swimming class is every day for 2 weeks, so they’ll be spending a lot of time in the water of the next 9 days. Today Melissa was home and after the pool took them to the splash pad, where she captured today’s picture of the day. Every time we go to the splash pads the kids seem to be playing with plastic bottles, trying to catch the water from the splash pad’s fountains. I’m looking forward being home next week so the family can walk down to the pool together.
Today while Melissa had to work the kids and I headed out to the local pool. On our way home we stopped and had some pizza. I captured a few picture of the kids enjoying the pizza.
Today we put the finishing touches on our dinning room. Plus had Nana and Papa over for dinner. We’ve also started to re-arranged our living room, but I think I’ll hold off showing that off till it’s complete. Thanks Nana and Papa for helping us put the finishing touches on our dinning room.

Today my little princess managed to get a bit of an ‘ouchie’s’ on her arm. So off we went to Shoppers to get her some Hello Kitty Band-aids.
Another season of T-Ball is complete and with it another Trophy for my little man.
Today I found myself at High Park and I had to take a peak at the work being done at the High Park’s Jamie Bell Adventure Playground. I can’t wait to take the kids there to play.
After swimming with Nana and Papa, Violet spent some time playing in the playground. It was such a hot evening that out came Jacob’s water gun, and after trying to spray me, she got the idea to use it to water the plans. I think she’s a little small for Jacob’s water gun though.
Today Jacob wrote up his first book of the summer. I’m not sure if he needs to do the full write-up for the Library ready program, but since he’s been doing it all year at school, why stop just because school has. Tomorrow he’ll finish it up with a picture, perhaps I’ll use it for my picture of the day tomorrow, or perhaps I’ll capture what Violet does while Jacob is doing his home work.
It seems we can’t go for a walk past Islington and Lake Shore with out Violet climbing up the little stairs, and putting on a show. It’s always cute, today she was singing, ‘Born to Entertain’. I just wish I had taken a video instead of a still.

Today we packed the kids into Nana and Papa’s van and waved good-bye. They are off for 4 days and 3 nights of camping fun, while Melissa and I hunt for things to do in the city without kids. I think it’s the longest we’ve been without kids since Jacob was born 6 years ago. Thank you Nana and Papa.
