Today Jacob started the second grade. He’s in another split grade, this year its a 2/3 split. He seems to like the group he’s sitting with, and his new teacher. He had a great first day and I’m so proud of him. I’m working on the final edits of a letter to him I hope to have posted before I head off to bed tonight, so stay tuned.
Tomorrow Jacob start’s grade 2. Where had the time gone, it seems like yesterday he was wrapping up grade 1. Today’s picture is of the uniform that I’ve lad out for him and his school bag and backpack. Of course we wont know till Wednesday when Violet’s first day will be. It will be strange sending my baby girl off to school for the first time.
Today our family headed to the ex. It was a great day and I should have spent my evening going through the pictures and putting together a proper post for the day. But I didn’t so for now I will share this picture of me and the kids on the Ferris wheel. More to come soon.
Today the kids and I had a special job to do, we went to the Build a Bear workshop at Square on and made Melissa her own bear. Complete with a personal message from each of the kids. It was a great experience. I’ve wanted to build a bear for the kids for years, but it never seemed like the right time. Well today seemed like the perfect time. I took some pictures of the process and put together a collage of the day. The kids had a blast and are really excited about having a chance to make their own bears.
Today I continue my series of back to school gear with pictures of the kids backpacks. They are great backpacks, I can’t wait to see the kids wearing them as the walk off to school next week.
Today I have a picture of the kids knew lunch boxes. As the number of days till school starts shrinks, I can’t believe that this summer has gone by so quickly. It’s been a great summer even with all the adversity our little family has had. I’m looking forward to having an even better one next year.
Today the day was winding down and I was at a lost for what to choose for a picture of the day, so in honour of school starting next week I thought I’d share a picture of the kids knew water bottles.
Today the family headed out to enjoy one of the last few days of summer with a picnic in the sunshine. We headed to Marie Curtis Park so the kids could enjoy the splash pad and wading pool, while Melissa and I enjoyed the sun. It was a great afternoon and it’s sad to think that there are so few days like this left, before school starts again in the fall. I have lots more pictures, I’m just trying to figure out how best to share them. Marie Curtis Park is an amazing place for sharing time with your family as well if you are planing to have corporate picnic this is the right place.
Stay Tuned.
Today Jacob and I spent the afternoon with Melissa enjoying the sun. I captured this picture of the two of them during the day.
As the summer comes to an end so does the kids swimming classes for another summer. Both kids did really well with their lessons this summer and are both looking for them to start up again in the fall.
