As the Ruby has gotten older and the weather gotten warmer Ruby has started joining us as we walk to school in the mornings. Today they kids wanted to hold her leash and I captured this picture as we walked. It’s nice to see Jacob taking an interest in Ruby.

Today during Ruby’s after dinner walk we went to the empty playground to let her have a little off leash time. While there she was playing she took a moment to lay on the little slide. So out came my phone and I captured this cute picture of our little Ruby.

Today Violet had a bit of an adventure. Started with a ride on the Subway with Melissa, followed up with spending the day with her buddy Ben and his parents. When I first saw the picture of Violet sitting their on the subway looking out the window I smiled, and thought back to my childhood and when I would sit in the same spot watching the subway tunnels. While Violet had her day out, Jacob was off adventuring with his Nan. I’m glad that the kids are having some fun on there March Break.

Today after dinner Jacob and I took Ruby to the big park for some exercise. While there Jacob went to play in the playground and I took Ruby to run around, as we walked back to get Jacob on the way home she sat on the hill and just watched over the playground. She looked so intent, I just have to take the picture.

This morning after breakfast Violet and I took Ruby to the big park. I wanted to start her day with some fun. It was fun watching her play in the snow. I’m not sure who had more fun, Violet or Ruby.

Today we headed to the vet with Ruby. She did really well, even when she got her needles. It was strange being at the vet. Last time we were there was to put our cat to sleep.

Today I thought I would take a moment to congratulate my boy, who scored 33 out of 33 on his last math test. I’m so proud of the little guy.

Today we got together our friends, Bill, Jen and their son Ben. We did some outdoor skating and Celebrated Bill’s birthday with some pizza and cake.

Today we headed to the Lego store to fill up our bonus Lego box from Christmas. We could choose all the Lego we wanted, but it had to fit in the little box. It was fun looking at the different bricks they had, and choosing which we wanted. I took pictures, but for some reason Jacob’s hood was covering his face in them all.

Today after swimming I took My mom and the kids out for a special treat, dinner at Swiss Chalet. While ordering food the kids argued about which plate would have Veggies and which would have Fries. I always try to get one of each and split them between them. While the waitress heard the discussion and when the plates came out I was amazed to see that the Veggies and Fries were already split between them. It’s that kind of service I like to reward with a big tip.
