Today Violet’s class headed out for a field trip to the Pumpkin patch. She loved it, but what made the day for our little Violet was that her Mommy was one of the parents who went along. I like that she took along our good camera and took pictures. I chose one this one of smiling Violet to use as today’s picture of the day.

Today was a quite evening for our little family. Violet fell asleep early and Jacob (and I) played some Minecraft. I captured this picture before  taking Violet up to her bed for what I hope will be the night.

Tonight we have a picture of some of Melissas party prep efforts. As the days till the party slip away I have to admit I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure it’s going to be great fun.

I captured today’s picture of Jacob while heading home from this evenings swimming class. I tried to get a selfie of the three of us, but it didn’t work. So instead we have this picture of Jacob.

Tonight was another party planning night, for Melissa and gang. So Nate came to visit again. Tonight the kids all played outside for a while before dinner. I captured today’s picture of Violet and Nate racing while they played. I think Violet might have had a bit of an edge in that race. Still the 2 of them had a great time playing together.

Today we went on a quest to find me a Halloween costume. It didn’t work out as we expected, it seems the store was filled with Zombies. Perhaps we’ll have better lunch next time.

Tonight Melissa and Suzanne got together to plan for our upcoming Halloween bash.  So Nate spent the evening with me and the kids. 

Today we headed to Nana and Papa’s for the Thanksgiving dinner.It was a great evening, but also a little sad to say good-bye to the house. Before dinner we gave each said something about the house that we were thankful for, listening to the kids say what they were thankful for was sweet.

Today we have a picture I took during my afternoon coffee break.  It wasn’t till then that I realized I had brought a couple of Jacobs Power Ranger Keys with me.  It seemed only fair to share my coffee with it.

Today the Hockey season began for both of our kids. I captured todays picture of the day while they waited for their games to start. I love that they will both be wearing number 5 jerseys this season. It also impressed me how excited they both were to be playing again. They both skated hard and were in on plays all game. I just hope the excitement continues all season. I’m interested to see how Jacob does next weekend between the pipes. He volunteered as soon as the coach asked. I’m not sure if he really wants to play goalie, or just wants to get it over with for the season.
