Today we had more party prep. Today we loaded up the loot boxes with goodies for the little kiddies that are coming to the party.

This afternoon while Violet was supposed to be napping she decided to climb out of her crib. I guess she picked up some tricks from Jacob climbing into her crib for their morning picnic. So we were left with a couple of choices, first we leave it and hope that if she tries to climb out again she doesn’t hurt herself in the process. They second was to take the side of the crib and give her the freedom to get out of bed. Of course this adds some trouble at bed time, as she resists going to sleep. Our first night went pretty well, though I ended up having to sit next to her bed till she fell asleep. With Jacob I had to do that for 3 or 4 nights, it’ll be interesting to see how long Violet takes to get used to bed.

Yesterday Melissa and Violet’s god mother Suzanne got together and began doing some of the prep work for Violets Birthday. When they showed me there results of there afternoon of work I was impressed. So what do my readers think these pretty boxes will be used for?

Jacob usually wakes up before Melissa or me. Usually he’s a good boy and comes wakes us up. This morning he did something a little different. Today he went into Violet’s room and took the food from her kitchen dumped it into her crib and climbed in. When I came in and asked what they were doing, they told me they were having a picnic. As a parent I’m really glad to see how well the two of them can play together. I guess the only question is how long does that last?

All winter Jacob has wanted to go out and play in the snow. Unfortunately there hasn’t been enough snow or time to let him get out and enjoy it. Today after school there was. On Her way Home Melissa capture this picture of one of our little guys Snow Angels.

Today Violet decided she wanted to help with the vacuuming in our living room. It was very cute to watch her with her little toy vacuum. She even set her baby up in her chair to watch.

Today we have our first guest photographer, Melissa snapped this picture of our little guy while they waited for the bell to ring and school to start. It’s a bit strange to be posting a picture I didn’t take, but it’s a great picture and well I didn’t take one worthy of the blog today.

Today the kids and I had a little new years eve party. We celebrated early and with Ginger Ale instead of Champaign but it was fun little celebration. Of course Violet stuck with water, though she did get to use the fancy glass. I hope next year Melissa will be home to ring in the new year with us.

Today our little family found ourselves waiting at the Health card office. We were there to renew Melissa and Violet’s health card. Keeping both Violet and Jacob entertained in while we waited was a bit of a challenge, but we managed it. Violet was fascinated by the Pizza Pizza she could see from the window. Jacob had his new Leapster Explorer so it wasn’t to bad.

Today Melissa and I took the kids to Balls of Fun, the Ultimate Ball Gym. We met Lisa and her 2 kids there. It was quite a place. Jacob and Violet had a blast throwing and kicking the balls around the place. Plus the climbing area with slides was a big hit. It’s a real shame it’s so fair away, I would love to be able to take the kids there more often.
