Tonight I ran out to the Real Canadian Supper store to pick up a few thing. It’s a bit out-of-the-way but we needed Sun Butter and we haven’t seen it in any of the closer super markets. So I found myself walking down the organic aisle looking at the different spreads. They had organic peanut butter, Almond Butter, and of course the sun butter I had come for Sunbutter Sunflower Seed Spread. As I looked I was excited to see another brand of Sunflowers Seed Butter. I thought about getting it, but as I was putting in the cart I thought I’d just take a pick at the label. There it was in Bold letters May contain traces of peanuts or other nuts and seeds. My first thought was that’s just wrong. Why would you want Sunflower spread with nuts. Of course when you look at the name of the company, Nuts To You nut butters, it’s clear that they are about providing organic Nut bet spreads. Though I probably wouldn’t be buying Sun Flower Seed spreads if it wasn’t for Violet’s allergy I guess some people would like it, but for me it’s just another product that we’ll be avoiding.

Today we took Violet to Melonhead in Square One to get her first hair cut. So Our picture today is the after shot. The before is in our bonus shots. It’s funny because we just trimmed her hair it’s not as much of a change as when Jacob first sat in the barber’s chair.

Todays picture was captured by Melissa on her way home from work. It seems that I was a bit premature declaring the end to Jacob’s fun in the snow last week. Perhaps tomorrow after noon will have to be a time to dust of his sled and find a hill to have some fun on.
I took tonight’s picture while making dinner. Our little Violet didn’t like that the gate closed behind me and she let me know it.
Today Violet was learning about soccer. She hasn’t gotten the no hands rule figured out yet.
Today at work Melissa found a little present in her purse. It seems that Violet had put one of her toy spoons into Melissa’s purse. Of course Melissa put it best ‘Never know when I’m going to need a spoon the size of my finger’.
With Violet’s Nut allergy we find ourselves making more foods at home. On tonight’s menu was Melissa’s home made Pizza and Lemon Meringue Pie. Both were delicious.
Today I was reminded of what I can expect as the weather warms. You see Jacob’s friend came knocking on the door after luanch today, wanting Jacob to come out and play. When it’s nicer I would have sent him out without a second thought, but today I bundled him up before heading out with him to watch him play. While watching I thought I might as well shovel some snow. After I had shovelled for a while, Jacob came to me and asked if he could get his shovel out of our yard. Next thing I know Noah and him are shovelling away. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched them work. I also couldn’t help but wonder if today will be the last day that Jacob can play in the snow.
Today’s picture of the day is of Violet having timeout under the table. It’s also a processed photo. Something I usually don’t do beyond some light cropping. Today’s picture Melissa tweaked for use on her blog and It was just too cute not to use for my Picture of the Day. So I ask my readers, what do you think of it? Today Melissa got fed up with my over grown hair and sent me and Jacob off to the local barbers for haircuts. While there she treated me to a shave as well. There is something about a nice straight razor shave that I find relaxing. Melissa snapped todays picture while I was in the chair getting prepped for my shave.
