With the temperature starting to actually feel like spring, this evening while Melissa and Jacob were out, I decided it was time to pull out Violet’s new scooter. She was so excited helping me put it together. It was great fun watching ride it for the first time.
Tonight after dinner the kids and I pulled out the box of Crazy Forts and started to build. We weren’t sure what we wanted to build when we started, but by the end everyone seemed happy with our creation. Every time we pull them out the kids and I have fun, I’m think that we should do it more often, plus maybe invest in another set so we can make even bigger creations.
Another day and another Skylander, Today we have Lightcore ShroomBoom. The little guy showed up in Jacob’s Easter Basket. I’m not sure what’s so special about Lightcore Skylanders, but Jacob sure seems to like him.
Today we signed the kids up for summer camp, each of them will have to weeks of day camp. When I showed them there shirts for the camps field trips they were so excited. I just had to capture their joy as today’s picture of the day.
I’ve battled a cough for the last week, and today it seems to have progressed past just a cough and I feel lousy. So my Mom brought be a bowl of soup and is insisting that I get some rest so that I can better listen.
Yesterday we had Violet’s Art so today I thought I’d share Jacob’s Abstract paintings from Sunday. He says he used a Marble to create the effects in the work. He did two paintings, I really liked both and it was hard to choose just one for the POD, but I thought that he art deserved to have each picture on its own.

After struggling to find a picture last night I had hopped to capture a moment with the kids to-night to use for my POD. When I left this morning for work, it was worm and bright I envisioned an after dinner trip to the park. Of course that was dashed with this evenings rain. So I came home and spent time with the kids, and before I knew it they were snug in their beds and I found myself sitting here without a picture. So I pulled out Violet’s Pre-School Art bag and found this sheep that she made.
Today Melissa had her first run. It’s the same run I did for my first run, the Harry Rosen Spring Run-Off. She did amazing. I’m so proud of the journey she’s been on over the last few years. She is such an inspiration for me. I have to admit it was strange standing at the finish line and not crossing it. It makes me think I really have to get back out there and run.
Today is Violet’s long day, with Pre-School, then Kindergarten enrichment followed by skating. It’s a long day, so I’m glad that she got to have a fun picnic lunch with her Nan. When I heard they were going to be having a picnic I asked my mom to take some pictures. I chose today’s Picture of the Day from the pictures she took.
With Jacob’s surprise ear infection I didn’t really mention Violet’s Needles. She had two shots, the fist went without a hitch, the second hurt her, and today there is big red mark where she got the second needle. Looking at it today I wonder if that’s normal, what do you think?
