Last night Lynn and Danny headed down to the states on a hunt for Melissa’s new favourite drink, Cherry Coke Zero. It was such a sweet thing for them to do that I thought I should use a picture of one of the cans as today’s picture of the day.
Today the kids, Nana and I headed to Fantasy Fair at the Woodbine Centre. It was a fun afternoon with lots rides. Today’s picture of the day was taken on the bumper cars, right before we ran into Nana and Violet. It wasn’t really a planned day so all I had was my phone so the pictures are limited. Though I hope to find the time to put them together for a post later in the week.
Today Nana brought over some plants for our planter and of course Violet had to help her plant them. I of course pulled out the phone and started snapping pictures.
I capture this picture of Jacob, Violet and Jordan as they compared Pokémon Playing cards. Well Jacob and Jordan were comparing their cards, I’m not sure what Violet was doing there. I think I’m going to have to sit down with Jacob one of these days and learn how to actually play the Pokémon card game, so that he and Jordan can do more than look at the cards.
Today we celebrated to birthday’s in our little family, Melissa’s and Canada’s. We had the first part of the day to ourselves, but it was nice to be able to share a cupcake with the kids when they got home. I want to say two things, first is Happy Birthday to the women I love and second is thank you to Nana and Papa for the weekend without kids.
Now that Melissa has gone to bed I thought I’d share a picture of the special gift I got her for her birthday tomorrow. I’ve been squirreling away my money so that I could get her something nice..
For weeks Violet has been asking for her own Blue Jays hat. Today I got her one, I can’t wait till she’s back to give it to her. I had thought about getting her a pink hate, but I thought the sparkling Blue Jay on this one would be cuter and more Violet’s style.
This weekend the kids are heading up to Wassaga Beach with their Nana and Papa, and boy are they excited. I took this picture after dinner as the waited to be picked up.
Today was Jacob’s last day of school, so I thought it would be a good day to do something more than just use a picture of him. I put a collage together with Violet’s and Jacob’s first day of school and there last. Of course only the one of Jacob was taken today. Still I think this is a good way to remember the moment, and to see how my little ones have grown.
Tonight after work I spent some time with Jacob building his Mega Zords. It’s the first time I’ve really sat down with him to look at all his new Zords. I am shocked by how complicated they are. I love seeing how excited he gets as he shows me the many different combinations they make. He always seems to have one or more in his hands. Even tonight I told him he could play outside while I did some work on Melissa’s bike, he brought out his newest Zords to play with. I couldn’t help but take picture of him on the planter playing.
