Today was Canada Day but more importantly it’s also Melissa’s birthday. I captured today’s picture of the day after the morning rain let and we headed out for a walk as a family. The rest of the day was spent in relaxing celebration of the birth of the women love with some of our close friends.

Today the kids headed to there first day of camp. They were both excited to go. They were looking forward to meeting new people and having new adventures.

Today our family headed down to Christie Pits for an afternoon of fun. Looking over the picture from the day, the ones I caught of them on the swing captured the fun of the day the best. It’s amazing how much fun the kids can have with a simple trip to the park.

Today we have a collage input together of Ruby and Jacob playing. They I didn’t get as many pictures as I’d have liked but I did get these. I think it’s the first time the two of them have really played.

Today was the last day of school for the kids, so instead of just having a picture I took today, I’ve put together a collage with pictures from each of their first day of school and one I took this morning. The school year is long with ups and downs, but both did amazing and both are excited to go back in the fall. Of course before then we have a summer of fun planned.

Tonight while watching TV with Melissa, Ruby and I played tug-a-war. Our little Ruby isn’t so little anymore, but she’s still our puppy.

Today was report card day for the kids, and I couldn’t help but smile when I saw Violet’s picture on hers. Both kids did great. I’m so proud of them.

Our family has hit the summer running, with a weekend filled with activity. We don’t plan on stopping, and to make sure we’ve put together a list of fun things we plan on doing this summer.

Today our little family met up with friends for a day of picnicking at Christie pits, and though I took pictures throughout the day, I love this one of Violet and Jacob I captured as we headed out.

Today was the first day of summer and to celebrate that, Melissa and Violet headed berry picking and Jacob and I headed out for a bike ride. First we hit a local park, then a little swim at the out-door pool, before grabbing a pizza lunch and heading out for a ride to Sunnyside. I captured today’s picture of they day on the Humber River bridge. I was impressed with how far Jacob was able to ride. It helped that we stopped at almost every park we passed. In the end our ride was close to 18 kms.
