Today we headed to Nana and Papa’s for the Thanksgiving dinner.It was a great evening, but also a little sad to say good-bye to the house. Before dinner we gave each said something about the house that we were thankful for, listening to the kids say what they were thankful for was sweet.

Today we were up before 6 to get to the rink in time for Jacob to be goalie, for the first and hopefully last time this season. He played hard, and made some shots, but unfortunately for every shot he stopped another went in. Still he seemed to have a good time.

Today we have a picture I took during my afternoon coffee break.  It wasn’t till then that I realized I had brought a couple of Jacobs Power Ranger Keys with me.  It seemed only fair to share my coffee with it.

Tonight The lady’s of the house headed to the nail salon to get their nails done. It was so cute how excited Violet was to get her nails done.

I came home to a bit of a surprise tonight, Melissa had mad us a Shepherds Pie, with Lamb instead of beef. It was amazing, the only negative was the kids wouldn’t try it. Of course that really isn’t a negative, as it means more for me.

Another Sunday afternoon at the dog park with Ruby. For the first part of our visit there were no other dogs, and Ruby happily chased her toy. Even after some dogs came Ruby was more interested in her Frisbee then playing with other dogs. I think next time I’ll leave the Frisbee at home and see if I can get her to be more social.

Today the Hockey season began for both of our kids. I captured todays picture of the day while they waited for their games to start. I love that they will both be wearing number 5 jerseys this season. It also impressed me how excited they both were to be playing again. They both skated hard and were in on plays all game. I just hope the excitement continues all season. I’m interested to see how Jacob does next weekend between the pipes. He volunteered as soon as the coach asked. I’m not sure if he really wants to play goalie, or just wants to get it over with for the season.

Todays picture of the day is of Violet and Jacob riding their scooters to school through the fall leaves.  I love the mornings when we can walk to school as a family.

Today I thought I’d share Jacob’s baseball trophies and team picture for today’s picture of the day. He is so proud of them all. And I am so proud of him.

Today was Jacobs baseball banquet. There was food, prizes and trophies. It was a fun way to wrap up the season. Best of all at this end of season party we had no broken collar bones.
