Tonight it was just Jacob and I for dinner and after a second day of helping family move, I didn’t feel like cooking anything. So I asked Jacob where he wanted to go for dinner, he chose Subway Subs. I captured dinner while he in joyed his Cold Cut Combo with Bacon.  It was nice sitting with just Jacob, talking about different things. He does seem excited about his novel, I think I’ll have to try to schedule another Starbucks trip for the 2 of us.

After a long day it was nice to sit down and have dinner with some friends. It kids really enjoyed it with their little friends

Today we have a picture of Jacob showing off his new do and new Zord.

Today Jacob finally got Tubes in his ears. He was nervous but handled like a real troop. It was kind of hard watching him walk down the hall to surgery, clutching CoCo. It was all over in a few minutes. It felt like we had just sat down to wait when the doctor came out to tell use it went well. of course there was some recovery from the anesthetic, but even that wasn’t to bad. Now we have to wait and see if these tubes will stop the early onslaught of ear infections.

Today the Melissa headed out with some of her friends, so I got to spend the evening with little Nat. Boy does that boy like to talk. I tried to capture today’s picture of the day while we waited for his mom to return, but the boy wouldn’t stand still long enough for me to take a picture.

This evening while Violet was in her ballot class, Jacob and I headed to Starbucks to do a bit of writing. Jacob has been has decided to compete in the Youth NaNoWriMo, his goal is 2000 words, His  It was fun sitting with Jacob writing, though it would have been better if Jacob had brought a keyboard, but I was really impressed with the 365 worlds he managed to write.

For the last month Jacobs room has been under goring some changes, last night we built the newest. His new desk.

Today I have an action shot from Jacobs hockey game. It’s a picture of him and a team-mate charging up the ice after the puck. Jacob’s on the right. It was another full day at the rink today, first with Violet’s game then after a quick trip to get new skates, Jacob’s game.

Today was Halloween and boy did the kids have fun. Usually I have pictures of them in their costumes for my POD, but this year, with the weather so lousy I decided to use a picture of the candy they got. Usually it would have been sorted by now, but after a long night trick or treating nobody was up to that.

Tonight I came home from work to an empty house, I don’t remember the last time that happened. The kids were off on an adventure with their Nan, and Melissa’s hadn’t returned from her afternoon appointment. So it was just me and Ruby for dinner. Ruby had her usual dog food, but I wanted something different. So I made myself a steak stir fry. I don’t do a lot of cooking, but it’s nice to know that I can more than just BBQ.
