Today was family day at the dentist. Melissa, Jacob and I had an appointment with the hygienist Kim. It’s the second time Jacob has faced the chair. He did great. At times it was a little uncomfortable but he sat through it. The biggest problem was he wanted to talk to kim, and would keep his mouth open. It was a good visit and I think our little trooper is looking forward to his next visit.

Project 365-115: Lets go fly a kite
Todays picture showcases some of Jacob’s art. The other day at preschool Jacob made this kite. The teachers were impressed with how well he wrote his name. On the way home Jacob was disappointed that his kite wouldn’t fly. I hung it from our curtains because I thought it might fly a little under the wind from fan.
Project 365-112: Breakfast like a Big Girl
Today Violet sat at the little table enjoying her water and Cheerios. It’s the first time I’ve seen her sitting and eating at the little table. I’ve seen her sit on one of the chairs while trying to play with Jacob before but this is the first time I’ve seen her sitting and eating. (I will not go on about her growing up to fast…)
When I first took this picture I thought it would make a great project 365 picture, but then I thought that with today being Lynn and Dan’s big day there will be opportunity for other pictures. Which is true but I realized two important things:
- I can post pictures that aren’t part of Project 365
- I probably wont feel like choosing and posting a picture later so its best to get it down now.
Project 365-111: The Misses approves

Our picture today is of Melissa and I getting ready to head to the pre-wedding dinner. What I find remarkable about tonight’s picture is that Melissa is in it. She doesn’t usually approve pictures of her for publication on the internet but today she did. I wanted to write more but after a great dinner with family, friends and beer I’m a little tired.

Project 365-100: Contemplating a Banana
Today we had a full day. It started with swimming, my first lesson with just me and the kids. It was a little tricky getting both kids ready for the pool and dressed afterwards but we managed it. Then it was home for lunch and then back into the car to pick up mommy from work and run some errands. It was a long day and though I think Jacob is fighting off a bug, it was nice to spend the time together as a family.
Project 365-099: Shoes
Ever since Violet was a new-born she’s had small feet. We’ve always had trouble finding shoes for her. Today Melissa picked up a pair of walking shoes for our little angel. They are a one or two sizes too big for her small feet, but they stay on and she can walk in them. I’m hoping my little girl likes her new walking shoes.
Project 365-096: Climbing

Tonight I needed to pickup a few things from Shoppers Drug Mart, so Jacob and I headed out for an evening walk. On the way I snapped a picture of Jacob climbing up a storefront ramp. Its something he does most time we walk past so it seemed a great moment to capture.
