Today as we were getting ready to head to the park, Violet went into Jacobs room and grabbed Jacobs Hockey stick and ball. She wouldn’t put it down. She carried it all the way to the park. I tried to get her to hit the ball but with little success. Perhaps next time.

Project 365-221: Am I being paranoid?
Tonight before bed I spent some time reading to Violet, our picture to-day is one of the books. It’s a cute little book for teaching numbers to kids, but I got to thinking do I really want here reading it? Do I want her to be playing with Acorns, even plastic ones? Am I setting her up for trouble if she see’s one on the ground and wants to play with it? So I did a little research and can’t seem to tell if I should be worried. I did a little research and it seems that there’s a bunch of differing opinions on the subject. The Nut-Free Mom sees to think that they are alright to handle. They are Nuts according to http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?Doi=72135 and http://www.wisegeek.com/can-people-eat-acorns.htm.
So what do you think, should we put away the book?
Project 365-220: Second try
Today was a sorta lazy day, we did some shopping and some organizing of the house. What I didn’t do was find time to take a picture. Well almost didn’t. I did take a couple of snaps of the kids while they were playing outside after dinner. The one I’m using is of Jacob pushing Violet on the Big Wheel. This is almost the picture I was trying to get a few days ago. Perhaps I’ll try again in a few days and get it perfect.
Project 365-219: Climbing Around
Today was the family piled into Nana and Papa’s van and headed to Ontario Place. It was great, I’m working on putting together a post about the day, until then here is a highlight of Jacob enjoying his day.

Project 365-215: Riding on the Road to Recovery
Today Violet seemed almost like her old self, she slept well and was out and about playing. She really likes riding on Jacob’s Big Wheel. She even keeps her feet on the bar while I push her. It seemed only fair to give her a turn on it after she’d been chasing Jacob they other day.

Project 365-213: Castle Playground
Today while Violet napped I decided to head out for a ride. So I loaded Jacob in the trailer and hopped on my bike. I wasn’t sure where I was going, though Jacob wanted to go to the High Park and the Castle Playground. I wanted to go further. In the end I compromised and took the long way to high park. I let Jacob play for a while before getting back on the bike and heading home.

Project 365-206: I don’t know what to say
Today Melissa and I rushed Violet to the Just For Kids clinic at St. Joes. We rushed because we wanted to get there before they closed. The web said that was 8 but the secretary said we should be there before 7 next time. We were seen because the doctors were standing there when we walked in and said they’d be back shortly(they’d been called to the Er). I was confused why they would post the Hours as till 8 but not want anyone to come during the last hour. Wouldn’t that mean that they really closed at 7? The only thing I could find that supported what the secretary said was the sign in the picture. The waiting room was nearly empty so it just didn’t make sence. I understand wanting to leave early but shouldn’t the kids be more important.
Update on Violet, she’s doing ok except for ulcers in her moth that cause her a lot of pain. We’ve got medication and hope that it will clear up in the next few days.
Project 365-205: Is she to Young?
Today Violet got her hands on Jacobs DS and brought it over to me. She promptly sat on my lap and expiramented with the different buttons. I couldn’t help but snap the picture.
