Tonight was Jacob’s first ever Christmas Concert at school. I was really impressed with how well the whole class preformed. Only problem is that right at the beginning of the performance one of Jacob’s classmates stood in front of him blocking him from my cameras for most of the show. I should have got up and tried to get a better angle, but I didn’t want to miss it and taking 2 videos and stills was a little tricky. It was a fun evening even after watching all the other grades in his school perform.

Project 365-348: Allergy Testing
Today Jacob had a visit to the allergists, the doctors wanted to see if his asthma was caused by an allergy. I’m glad to say that the tests came back negative, so even though both his parents and little sister have allergies of varying severity, Jacob has none. I’m not sure what that means for his asthma but at least we know he’ll be saved from the annoyance of seasonal allergies.
Project 365-347: Chicken Pox?
Today Jacob announced. To his substitute teach that he had Chicken Pox. This of course isn’t TRUE, if he had them we’d never have sent him to school. What he does have 2 spider bites (not the first time he’s had them, the first time was in the summer and we freaked out about them). Today before school Melissa was talking on the phone with a friend talking about the kids in Jacob’s school who does have Chicken Pox. I guess kit goes to show you that little ears are always listening.
What I don’t understand is that when Melissa picked him up the teacher pulled her inside and said, Jacob said he had chicken pox, and that he was sent to the office and they believed it to be Chicken pox. Melissa assured them they weren’t but if it were or if they thought they were shouldn’t they have sent him home?
Project 365-343: Begining to look a lot like Christmas
School Concert Preview
Today Jacob decided that he did remember the song he’s doing for the Christmas Concert at school and Melissa (the best wife and mother ever) got it on tape. It’s moments like these that makes me really glade that we always have cameras with us.
Project 365-340: First Snowfall of the year
Today we had our first snow fall, and with it we released Jacob didn’t have boots. So it was off to the stores this morning to find him a new pair. Thankfully my Mom was around and able to stay with Violet so that Melissa didn’t have to take both kids out for the impromptu shopping trip in the snow.

Project 365-338: Dear Santa
Today’s picture is of Jacob letter to santa. He wrote and spelled it all by himself. He’s getting so good with his writing, is just amazing.
Project 365-337: Ice Cream!
Tonight we have a picture of Violet enjoying some Ice cream. There is something about watching her joy as she eats her frozen treat that warms my heart. I have some bonus pictures to share, but due to technical difficulties they will have to wait. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll so an seperate post with them.
Project 365-336: Is it to big?
Today I stopped at The Toy Space, in a little toy store at Bathurst and King. I didn’t go there to buy anything, I was just looking to see what they had, we’re pretty much done with toy shopping this year, but it might be nice if I could find Jacob a battery-powered train that would fit on his train set. While there I saw this doll house, the daddy in me wanted to get it for my little girl. Of course reason kicked in, and I didn’t even ask about the price, still I thought it’d make a good picture of the day.
Project 365-335: The Countdown begins
Today we pulled out the first of our Christmas decorations. Our family advent calendar. Each night we put a candies or toys into the pocket for the kids to find. It’ll be interesting to see how well Jacob shares over the coming weeks. The rest of the decorations should go up this weekend, I’m sure a future project 365 will be of our decorated home, so stay tuned.
