Today Violet started dance class and so we have two pictures. The first, the official picture of the day, is Violet on the way to dance class. The second is her after. All the way there she was excited. At the studio, before her class she was going up to the other little girls, introducing herself to all her new ‘friends’. I’m so glad my little girl loved her first day of dance. I hope she still loves it in the weeks to come. The only crying we had, was when I had to tell her she couldn’t join the girls going in for the next class.

Today after dropping Jacob off at school, Melissa let Violet play at the park. while there She snapped today’s Picture of the day of my little girl. Looking at the picture it seems to me she’s wondering where her Big brother has gone.
Tomorrow is Jacob’s first day of school, so tonight before he went to bed he helped Melissa make his lunch. It was fun watching the 2 of them go through the fridge getting the different stuff together. I tried to get a picture of them working, but it didn’t turn out. So instead you get a picture of the finished work.

For the last weekend of “Summer” we headed out to Brant Conservation Area for some family camping. Though weather has cut our trip short we did have a great couple of days. So today for my picture I have Jacob with a little friend he made while we were camping. I think he really wanted to bring him home.
Today Jacob started future stars, in preparation for starting house league hockey in October. It took him a little while to get used to the new rink and all the equipment he has to wear. It was great to watch him skating again.

Today the kids and I met Melissa at the supper market to get food for the coming week. I snapped today’s Picture of the day as we rode the bus to meet her.
Today after the kids headed out to the play ground to play with some of their friends. I managed to get them all to sit still long enough to capture today’s picture of the day. One thing was clear tonight, the summer is coming to an end. As we sat watching the kids it was starting to get chilly… of course the kids didn’t seem to notice.
Today we have a picture of my little girl, and once again I’m struck by home much she’s growing.
Today when I got home, Melissa and the kids had a surprise for me. Freshly baked cupcakes. So after a nice dinner of Taco’s we enjoyed cupcakes. What’s also great is that Melissa took pictures of the kids while they made them, so instead of choosing one for my picture of the day and then having the rest as bonus pictures I thought I’d make a collage and used them all in a single picture.
Today before bed, Jacob and Nan sat down at the table and played some Whoville-opoly. Jacob always seems to want to play board games these days. I think I might have to start scheduling a board game night.
