Today was national grilled cheese day, so of course my kids had grilled cheese for dinner… Well they did have grilled cheese, but it wasn’t till later that Melissa’s co-worker texted her about it. I’m not sure why it’s national grilled cheese day, but I’m happy to say that in our little family celebrated it.
Tonight I had a meeting at Jacob’s school. One of the pluses is that they have childcare so the kids got to go with me. So while I had my meetings the kids got to play in Jacob’s classroom. It was fun watching Violet in Jacob’s class room. She’s so excited about going to pre-school in the fall.
Today Jacob had an appointment with the Ears Nose and Throat doctor, but before we saw the doctor he had to have a hearing test. It’s the second time he’s had the test, and he was quite excited to get into the both. I’m happy to say that he’s ear’s looked good and for now, he wont need tubes, though we’ll reassess if he has another round of ear infections this fall.
Friday was a busy day for our little family. First some of us had to work, and we had plans for dinner at Nana’s and Papa’s. In between we managed to back some cookies. Both our children were very excited about the idea of making cookies. I took over 200 pictures during the backing of the cookies, so it took some time to go through them and choose ones to share.

Today was Easter Sunday, and after our Egg hunt and Pancake breakfast it was time to dress up and head out to church. I captured this once the kids were ready to head out for the day. Once again I find myself wishing for more hours in the day. I promise I will catch up, and post some of the great pictures of the kids hunting for eggs in the next couple of days.
Today was another full day with lots of great pictures. The picture I’ve chosen is of Danny, Jacob and me at the Harry Rosen Spring Run-Off. It was taken after Danny and I had finished our 8k run but before Jacob had a run his 800m run. It was a great day with tons of pictures, that I didn’t have time to sort through during the day. I hope to have a separate post about the day soon.
Today to celebrate Easter the family made cookies. I’ve got lots of pictures from the day, but didn’t have time to go through them and get them up tonight. I’ll do a post dedicated to it soon. For now enjoy this plate of Easter Cookies.
Today I picked up my race kit for Saturday’s Harry Rosen Spring Run off. What was different about today is I also picked up Jacobs. Last year it was my first race ever, so I think it’s fitting that this year it will be Jacob’s first race ever. I’m also excited to see if Jacob is going to get interested in running. Today a 800m for in the future maybe we’ll run a Marathon togeather.
Today after school the kids had some fun in the playground at Jacob’s school. All Jacob wanted to do today was climb on the monkey bars, and while he climbed I captured today’s picture of the day. When I got home and reviewed my pictures, I was struck by the similarities between this picture and my picture of the day from a couple of weeks ago (POD: Enjoying the Spring weather).

With our family vacation fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about packing. With that in mind some clothes that Mommy ordered on-line arrived today. The clothes were so cute I thought it would be fun to use her modeling them for my picture of the day today.
