This week Jacob is Star of the week, which meant extra homework this weekend so today for my picture of the day I thought I’d use a picture of his homework. I’m really impressed at how much his colouring and writing has improved over this school year. I’m still in denial about him turning 6 in 2 short weeks, but of course he is and my baby boy isn’t a baby anymore.

Today we had a busy morning, first T-Ball then Violet’s ballet picture day. The best part of picture day was in was able to get this picture of Violet in her costume.
Today Melissa took the kids out to the local splash pad for some fun in the afternoon. I found them there on my way home from work and snapped this picture before they realized I was there. It’s great to see the water flowing again, I know we’ll be spending plenty of afternoons in the park watching the kids play this summer.
Today was Crazy hair day, so we picked up so washable dye and had some fun. Once again one picture wasn’t enough so I played with putting together collage of three of the best pictures I took on the way to school this morning. It was great to see how excited he to go to school with his crazy hair. I can’t wait to see how excited he’ll be tomorrow for pajama day.
Today the family headed out to The Melt Grill Cheese (website). It was an unexpected evening out as a family, and I’m glad we had the time together.
Today we have a picture of Jacob on his way to school. It’s spirit week so each day he gets to were something different from his uniform. Today was Jersey day, tomorrow is rainbow day his classes colour is red. Thursday is Crazy Hair / Hat day and Friday is the day he’s most excited for, Pyjama Day.
Today at Nana and Papa’s Violet tried her hand at Basketball while Papa BBQed. We had a nice visit, though it would have been nicer if Melissa didn’t have to work.
Today was a bit of a crazy day, it started with me heading out of the house around 8 for a long run. Today that ment a 15k run, that took me 2 hours to run. I got home to some deliciously fresh Blue Berry muffins, that I enjoyed before heading out with the family for a 15k bike ride and picnic. We rode out to the same park as yesterday, Melissa and I relaxed in the sun as the kids played in the playground, before we enjoyed our lunch and headed home. For my picture today I went a little different. I took so many shots of Jacob climbing up the ‘Invisible Slide’ that I couldn’t choose which to use, so I used them all in a collage. I must say I was quite tired by the end of our ride.
Today the family climbed on to our bikes, while Melissa and I climbed on our bikes, and the kids hopped into the trailer and we headed out for a ride (View on RunKeeper). We paused at a park and let the kids play before heading back home. While there we decided that we should do it again tomorrow with a picnic.
Today we have a picture I took of Violet with her Nan, at Nan’s birthday breakfast. I was glad that I didn’t have to go to the office today and my first appointment was at 1pm at a clients, so I could take my mom out to celebrate her birthday.
