Today Ruby and I headed down to Etobicoke Valley off Leash park. It’s an amazing dog park, it just kept going and going. Ruby loved it. She was very curious about the water but didn’t really go into it. Perhaps next time.

Tonight I have a picture in what seems like her new favourite spot. She sits half up the stairs and watches over us. Tonight it seems she was using her laser eyes to keep us safe.

This evening I have a picture that Melissa took of Ruby and Violet hang out together after school..

Once again the day comes to a close without a picture of the day. Luckily for me Ruby is around to help up.

With Spring weather finally here I didn’t want to spend the day in the house with the kids. So instead we headed down to high park for them to play in their favourite playground the Castle playground. Of course I couldn’t leave Ruby inside on such a lovely day. So while the kids played Ruby and I explored the huge off leash area. I have know that it was their since we got Ruby and I started paying attention to such things. Now that we’ve been there I foresee many visits this summer.

Ruby loved the freedom of walking without the leash, and she never strayed to far. She was excited to see the other dogs, but didn’t really want to play with them. She was happiest chasing after sticks and walking down the trails with me.

It also brought back a lot of memories from my youth. I spent many a summers and winter day wandering high park with friends and family. The off leash paths went right through the middle of some of my memories, and though I let the kids play in the Castle playground today during future visits I expect to have them walking with me and Ruby.

With the weather getting nicer it seemed like a good day to head to the dog park for some fun.

Yesterday we were looking for something in the dollar store after Violet’s swimming. Walking down the aisle looking for the bargains in between the junk, Violet found a rubber chicken she just had to get for Ruby. I was dubious but we got it. Ruby loves it, but it took her less than 2 minutes to have it separated and the squeaker removed.

Tonight while relaxing and watching the Oscars with Melissa I tried to capture a picture of Ruby. This is what I got… it looks to me that she’s saying No Pictures!

We were setting up Violets room to surprise her when she got home. Ruby just had to be a part of it. First posing for a picture that showed off the new room. She also had to be  first to try the new bedding, though in the end it wasn’t the same without Violet
