Today I thought I’d share Jacob’s baseball trophies and team picture for today’s picture of the day. He is so proud of them all. And I am so proud of him.

Today was Jacobs baseball banquet. There was food, prizes and trophies. It was a fun way to wrap up the season. Best of all at this end of season party we had no broken collar bones.

The baseball season is winding down,   the excitement of June is long gone and we have another disappointing season for the Toronto Blue Jays.  still I enjoy an evening at the ball park and to night looks like it might have been the last for this season.  My final tally is 22 games this season.  A respectable amount  but I hope to beat next year.

This evening I have another picture from the Blue Jays Game. It was the 20th game I’ve been to the ball park this season. I was also playing with a feature of my phones camera, it probably would have worked better if I was facing the scoreboard instead of standing under it.

I didn’t want to use another Blue Jays game shot for my picture of the day but something happened in tonight’s 11 inning game that I wanted to capture. The Jays bullpen ran out of gas in the 11th. Giving up 7 runs and only recording one out. So Gibbons turned to Tolleson, who had come into the game as a pitch runner and was hitting in the DH position to get the final 2 outs. He struck out the first batter he faced and cause the second to fly out. An impressive pitching performance by a position player. It also means we saw the pitcher hit in the home half of the 11.
