Friday is my work from home day, but that really means work from anywhere there is good WiFi. So now that the kid’s school is next to a Starbucks, well a Starbucks Kiosk, I find myself dropping them off and heading for a coffee while I get started on the days work.

Every year Ruby gets a Dino bone in her stocking. She loves it, Christmas morning while the family opens presents, she happily goes to town on her bone. I thought I’d show what’s left of it after a just over a week.

It was a lazy day, spent mostly in PJs making slime. So what better way to remember it then this picture of violet, as she got all the ingredients for slime creation.

A new year has begun and for my first picture of 2018, I have one from last night. Violet and Jacob playing Pie in the Face showdown. Violet one the round and Jacob rung in the new year with a face of whipped cream.

Tonight I thought I’d share this animated gif of Violet taking a shot during tonight’s practice.

Tonight we have a picture of Violet’s hockey team celebrating their second win in a row. A strong 5-2 win over a team that beat them 6-3 last time they played. It’s been amazing to watch how much better all the girls are getting. I guess the endless trips to the rink are paying off.

To the kids saw the big man himself. Mr Claus. It was a magical visit, and every year I wonder when the magic will end.

Today we I continue with the Christmas theme. Today Jingles returns, well technically tomorrow. Still, it seems like the right thing to share for today’s picture of the day. Violet’s been asking about our Elf on the Shelf since she woke up on December first. She even asked her friends Elf if they could ask Jingles to return to us.

It’s December, Christmas is 25 days away (Well really 24 days). So that means out comes the kid’s Advent calendars. Instead of chocolate, we’ve got them a Lego and Playmobil calendars.

Today we wrap up November, and with it, Jacob has to hand in his Reading Scrapbook. Of course, he wasn’t finished his scrapbook till after 10 o’clock last night. I think managing his time will be something we’ll work on for next month project. Still I think he did a very good job.
