POD: Programming Books
While cleaning my desk at work the other day I was surprised to see a stack of programming books. Usually they sit hidden behind one of my many monitors. It got me thinking about when the last time I had actually opened one of them. I can’t remember. I can remember reading a few of those books like novels, as I tried to learn the secretes they contain. Or reaching for them looking up some command I couldn’t remember. Now they just sit there, and Google provides the answers. It leaves me wondering what should I do with them? How useful is the information they contain?

POD: Valintines Day Hockey with Violet
To Violet and I headed down to the MasterCard Centre to watch the last home game of the Toronto Furry. Violet was really excited to see Natalie Spooner play. She ware’s her number 24 on her DS team and was so sad that we were not able to get her autograph. The game was great, the Furries managing to tie it in the final few minutes to force overtime. Unfortunately they lost in overtime, but Violet loved the game, and I think we’ll be watching a lot more Furry games in the years to come.

POD: Rolling up the Rim to try again
Another day another teacher interview. Today we have some art work from Violet’s weekend jurnal. She wrote about last weekend when I took her to Tim Hortons after her hockey game last week, and she had a Muffin and a Hot Chocolate. Rolling up the Rim really stuck with her. Even thought we both got Try Again.
