Tonight after the kids and Melissa headed off to bed I popped some corn and sat down to watch the Daily Show. Probably not my most creative picture of the day, but as it’s what I’ve got.
This evening I went to Jacob’s school for the monthly School Advisory Councils and while I was waiting for it to begin, I saw this on the wall. I was surprised and disappointed to see it on the wall of the hall way. Of course during the Christmas concert our raffle includes Leafs tickets so I guess I shouldn’t be to worried about what they are teaching him.
Today we have a picture of Jacob’s poppy. He’d been very interested in mine over the last couple of days so yesterday while out with Melissa when he found one he asked to have it clipped to his jacket. I’m not sure what different things his class is doing for Remembrance Day, but here we are doing a few things. So it’s nice to see that he’s taking an interest in such an important day.
Before dinner today I was working away on the computer when Violet came up to me and asked to watch something on it. As I reached to lift her on to my lap, she told me ‘no daddy. I sit’. Since I had other things I should have been doing, I got up and placed her on my chair and set her up on YouTube to watch some Muppet videos. Watching her there at the computer I knew I had to get a picture of it.
After running around shopping today has been a day of household chores and play time in the park. It also found a tired Violet curled up on the floor napping after lunch. It seems a morning of playing in the playground tuckered our little girl out.
This afternoon the family headed out to pick up some groceries, the trip was just too much for our little girl. Who once again fell asleep in the shopping cart. This time it was full so we couldn’t let her really relax like last time (
POD: Shopping cart snooze). I was also worried about bending her cute fairy wings that she insisted on where out today. So she napped as we finished up our shopping, she was awake and her friendly self by the time we were done checking out.
Today we have a picture of Jacob and his buddy Liam. The to of them spent part of the evening playing together at our house. It’s great that Jacob has such good friends.
Tonight we have a picture of Jacob and I as we sat on the couch watching hockey. It was a nice way to end the evening.
Today we have a picture of Jacob snuggling up with Melissa reading a book before bed. I wanted to get them both in the picture, but neither of them sat still long enough for me to frame a good shot. Though as I reviewed the pictures I took tonight, I have to say I think this one captures the moment, even if it only has Melissa’s hand.
Today at work I found myself setting up a few of computers. Setting them up reminded me of one of the perks of my Jobs, occasionally I get to play with some cool gadgets. Of course, at the same time it’s also a draw back, because the after they are setup/fixed I don’t get to play with them anymore.
